I don't know how I missed that you could use the mirror lol. Opinion time though. It's an RPG. Role playing as something different than I am is a big reason for doing multiple play throughs. Which includes every sex and sexual orientation. I get that this is a hot topic right now, but I don't see how it impacts the game negatively. The fact that I can now make a sexy bearded elf lady if I want to is great in my opinion, and I don't know how you allow that in character creator and don't give the options for pronouns.
It’s bigotry, through and through, unfortunately emboldened by current events. And those “upset” by more options in an RPG are tourists as BioWare games have always been ahead of the social curve.
Totally fair, and great point! I haven't seen it impact the game negatively so far. Having the option makes for good replay value if people want to experiment with different things.
@@LuminEskaGaming I'll probably play with it on my next play through to see if it opens up any dialogue options, or changes up any romance options. I do have some complaints about how it was implemented with one companion, but that may change as I progress further in that quest line
The “controversy” comes because bigots and transphobes are snowflakes offended and frightened of others. Don’t legitimate it by treating it like a valid conversation. It isn’t. It’s absurd. It’s an rpg, don’t choose options you don’t want. It’s not hard.
For sure, I get where you're coming from. I'm certain there are those people out there, though I don't think the majority of controversy is coming from people who have genuine hatred toward others. The conversation I want to have is more so about how gender identity is integrated/written into the game, and whether we are given the choice to interact with it or not. As far as I’m aware, we are. They did this very well with Krem in Inquisition, so I’m curious to get further into the game to see what the differences are, if any.

What blows my mind is the Devs made their opinion on this clear in Inquisition with Krem. Nothing changed.
