    I've been looking forward to this module. I need to start working with Virtual Machines at my company and this helps a bit with kick starting that. Thanks like usual

      Virtualization and Cloud is becoming a must in all companies nowadays and it's something every tech should be familiar with now sadly. Maybe 10 years ago it was a luxury but now all companies use this to a certain extent sadly

    Yeah I agree that Private Cloud isnt really a cloud, it more of like a backup. Like you upload things to your OWN servers.

    Great video. I had 1 question, does the hardware in IaaS NEED be virtual or it can be phyical hardware too. I know you cant upload like a PHYSICAL CPU or MOBO or RAM to the cloud im just asking.

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +2

      Well technically the hardware is "physical" somewhere along the line since it's all running on Microsoft's servers in their datacenters.
      From our perspective (the customer), it's all virtual and we choose how much virtual hardware we want and what specs we want. Somewhere along the line though its physical hardware.
      For example, if you're running virtual machines on your own laptop, desktop or server in your house or your office, it's a physical machine with physical hardware the virtual machines are running on. You'll just be choosing virtually how much of that physical hardware you want to make use of.
      At some point the physical resources will run out though and you would have to add more. In the Cloud with IaaS, you luckily don't have to worry about adding more physical resources since that's now the cloud provider's problem. You can just keep adding virtual resources as long as you can afford to pay for all of it :)

      @@BurningIceTech Wow I been thinking that the cloud was hosted on VIRTUAL servers and we upload everything to virtual server. I didnt know that it got physical, thanks. So like in our house computers, our storage and especially RAM will run out so we can't host more VMs, but in the cloud the CSP keeps giving you VMs(virtual hardware) as long as you can afford to pay it. And that Infrastructure or Hardware is given to you as a service(for a fee) hence creating IaaS or HaaS.

    Since when can u put Mac OS on Windows machine ??

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +1

      Since pretty much always, well at least since VM's have been available. One just needs to mindful of the hardware for example Intel but that's no big deal. As long as you understand that you need to first do a few prerequisites you should have no issue installed Mac on a Windows physical or virtual machine. Some people use it as a work around for apps that might only work on Mac :)

      @@BurningIceTech pretty certain apple don't allow this - if it is its a hack ?

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +1

      @@ethnic_on_a_technic Correct you are sir, well done! :) Just because it's possible doesn't mean someone should do it though and I do not encourage anyone to do it.
      It's referred to as HackinTosh.
      It's like speeding with a car, just because you can, doesn't mean you should hehe. Apple's license does not allow you to install Mac on Windows machines.
      You still need to understand theory behind it through, the fact that it's possible to install Mac and pretty much any other O/S on a VM. Some vendors allow you to do it as long as you have a legal license, some like Mac don't allow you to and it's important not to do it then if your not legally allowed to. As long as you understand the theory then you should be fine in the exams :)
