I have been listening to David Dreiman's voice since I was 12 years old. I'm 30 years old now. I went into foster care then, i was placed in a boys home, i was scared, until one of my bunkmates gave me a disturbed album. I listened to down with the sickness 30 times in a single day. Disturb's music got me through some of the darkest times of my life.
I am 32 now, today I find it hard to listen to disturbed, maybe life is better or we just got used to it... but their music helped to stand through hard times too...
I'm right here with ya brother. I took this album from Fort Jackson to Fort Hood then to Balad Iraq and listened to it the whole way to South Korea. Its good music
This is their best album in my opinion, Indestructible is my favorite song, but this has Ten Thousand Fists, Just Stop, Stricken, I'm Alive, Sons of Plunder, and Overburdened. I love all of those songs. Of course I didn't for got about asylum or the sickness. Disturbed is so good. Love their stuff. Divisive their new album is sweet with Bad man, Hey you, and Divisive.

I am a disabled Army veteran, I became homeless when I came out of service. Was homeless for 4 years, got married and my life got better. I agree. The day Stricken was first played on radio and I heard they added lead guitar solo(no solos 1st two albums) was the day Disturbed became mint. It is their best song(altho You're Mine is a serious threat to that for me) and it makes me really happy. Top 10 song all time.
I walked into a video store and it came on the radio and the guy at the counter (who I had never met) and I looked at each other aghast. Goosebumps. It was the first song I bought online. Never had that reaction since Smells Like Teen Spirit. I.think I got a buzz from Bon Jovi and the number song on Seseme Street as a child born the of 11th February 1980.

This is the first cd I ever bought, I was around 14 at the time and I used to listen to this album all the time, even downloaded it to my Xbox360 and listened to it while playing videogames. I feel like the sound they created is more powerful now especially because are we able to look back on the releases in metal from the last decade, this band is one of those groups.. I remember System of a Down being one of them as well from that era. I just think back to buddies from high school showing me this shit while we played halo 3 and stuff like that. Some of the best memories I have. It certainly influenced me as a musician and my taste in general. Its sad that a lot of the world is incapable of feeling real music anymore.
