Thx for the video. I miss this boat. Travelled with it a lot 1987-1993. It was called Nils Holgersson (TT-Line) and sailed Trelleborg (Sweden) - Travemünde (Germany). I do have video from the ship. At that time it was brand new! :)
The lounges used to have full sized bottles of spirits (Copenhagen to Oslo route) not sure if they’ve cut back on all the lounges or just the route shown. I preferred the Steak House restaurant (although my ticket allowed me to use the Marco Polo restaurant) I just found it a bit too pompous and preferred the steak and jacket rather than the fine dining. I did pop down to see the normal restaurant selling nuggets and sausages 😂 I did about 8 overnight cruises in all on them.
@@DisneyMarkUK I once had a balcony cabin in Commodore and I decided to open it one gusty day, the wind rush was so hard it lifted up about 6 ceiling tiles. I had to jump on the chair to put them all back. The lounges always had a constant supply of food and snacks, great times, I miss it.
We booked on really late for our trip on King Seaways from Newcastle to Amsterdam, so we couldn't get a seaview cabin like we prefer. We ended up with a basic double inside cabin. Gosh was that tiny! The en-suite was literally like a cupboard in the wall. We didn't really mind as we were only sleeping on there overnight and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The walls however were paper thin and I'm not joking when I say that we woke up in the morning to hear our neighbour farting in the cabin next door!
What an awesome view over the sea from the lounge! I have been on Commodore Class from Esbjerg to Harwich, and I really miss going on a cruise.
It’s fabulous isn’t it. Oh we miss holidays so much, they will return though, thanks for watching ✌🏼
I travelled out & back on the ‘old girl’ only a few weeks ago. I’d be tempted to try the deluxe room if I ever do it again. Great video.
It’s a fun ship
Isn’t it. Thank you so much
Have sailed 10 times in these cabins, fantastic ship and service. The only way to sail the North Sea.xxx
Totally agree, it’s so relaxing isn’t it.

You’re so welcome, thanks for watching and for the extra info. I bet it was fancy when it was new.
thanks for the great review, i just travelled with dfds from copenhagen to oslo, and it was a great trip and really nice food
Thank you for watching Michael
I agree to again it's great
I’ve just mentioned that route 👍🏾
I just took this ship recently and I must say the view from my commodore room was much better than the view from your commodore deluxe room
Yea the walkways outside the windows aren’t the best.
Hello Sailor XX What a super video I think its time for an up grade we use the ferry quite a bit never used Commodore yet x
dislexic landlord Well hello there. Commodore Deluxe is kind of worth the money, you’re in your own little bubble :)
Wow that’s way better than the cabins I’ve been in on DFDS 😂
This was their best cabin mind :)
@@DisneyMarkUK what’s the price difference?
@@beedgehog I can’t remember to be honest as we always hack this cabin.

Yea the lounge isn’t what it used to be. Still fun though :)
