Where I live the empty land for an old disused power station is left as rubble while the surrounding arable farmland is sold off and built on. Over 1000 houses in the last few years and civil engineers surveying fields in neighbouring areas. It was previously land for orchards, rapeseed, onions, cabbages, etc.
The super majority than is expected by Labour will be more to do with our inequitable voting system than the impact of Reform on the Tories. How will Labour expect to command respect and magnanimous acceptance of the election result if their massive majority is won on a minority vote, or to put it another way, most people will not have voted for them.
