Sad situation
Why is it that whenever the parents make it out, the kids prefer being left behind? There is no way if both parents, even if just one, made a better life for us would I want to stay in street life. But use the opportunity to not just live off them but use their connections to figure out my own path to help their legacy keep going in my own way. It's a shame many get infected with Go.back.A.ritis and usually don't recover from it.
