So excited for a modern bluegrass supergroup!
Another one, you mean.😊
Ol' Andie Martin has somehow weaseled his way into becoming my favorite musician. He's so good. He was right there with Benny Tod and has just surpassed him. I can't get enough Mandolin Orange / Watch House and Mighty Poplar. This dude is the truth.
Totally agree
I remember this from Green Mountain BG Festival. It was late at night, and me and my husband were pressed up against the fence behind this building, trying to drink in every plucked string we heard. At the time we had a hunch it may have been Mighty Poplar rehearsing. It is gratifying to see this clip a year later.
Aaaah. Great song, understated playing, not a bluegrass shredfest. Look forward to more.
Agreed. The Andrew calm on top of these virtuosos is gonna be my summer vibe I think.
I just discovered your band from a Sirius radio station. Love your sound!!!
Martha Scanlan is an incredible songwriter. Y’all did a great job with it!
Thanks to these guys for introducing me to her work! she is amazing!
can not wait for the album! only kinda sorta wish that josh oliver was in with the super group as well.
There's something about you guys that makes me feel nostalgic for something I've never had. Keep em coming!
This feels like home.
Don’t miss them live as they tour behind this album. Just saw them last night and they were incredible (no surprise there).
Oh myyyyy.
This is going to be epic!!! It's like a new school strength in numbers!!
it's a perfect song
Bloody brilliant! Australia is ready - c’mon down, y’all!
This is a great song by an amazing song-writer. Awesome band!
Insanely beautiful.
real music soothes the soul
Doesn't get any better than that!!! Come to North Carolina. I want to see you on stage.
Real deal right here
❤❤❤
These guys and Nickel Creek do a super tour and yeah...
Really beautiful to hear this today in Nashville.
Great song Ms. Scanlan and a great interpretation by the musicians who performed here. Please make MORE !!!!!!!
This just weeks after Benjamin Tod, Riley Downing, Johno Leroy, Jeff Loop, & Matt Heckler collaborated for a video. I'm so grateful I am alive during these times
Vinyl is already ordered...can't wait!
Another dream team. Loving this!!
Oh boy, this is fantastic! What a supergroup.
Super! I must refer my pal Eric Rice to this song for his County Line Bluegrass show on KVMR in Grass Valley. Looks like you'll be playing there soon. Get by the studio when you're in town.
So beautiful guys, happy to hear new stuff from this legends!!!
Beautiful...as is Martha Scanlan's orginal
Lovely song and great playing. I love the way that acoustic musicians form ad hoc ensembles and produce such wonderful music. I guess it used to happen in Jazz but you don't see it in other forms. I remember Pete Frame's 'Rock Family Trees': if they tried something similar for acoustic and bluegrass the world would run out of paper.. Looking forward to the album.
Hell yea boys!
So good! ❤️
What a great sound!
This is a powerhouse line-up. And it makes me really happy for the success of all these guys. I always kinda felt like Greg Garrison was the 5th Beatle in regards to Punch Brothers. Super happy to see this formation!
stoked!
Good stuff all around folks
Great guys! Sounds pure and cool. My congrats from Madrid, Spain.
Holy hell this is so exciting.
Got my FULL attention, Mighty Poplar! Just wow!
Insane! That melody at the end is just bliss
YAY! Love it.
Tremendous ❤❤❤
Amazing Song!
I knew it was the guy from watch house just by his voice on bluegrass junction lol
Great stuff guys! Love it...
Mighty fine!
Bloody lovely, can't wait for the album
Miss you daddio!
Hope you guys are playing Telluride this summer!
The guitar is capo 3, c shape - song is in D?
Did something happen to Watchhouse (used to be Mandolin Orange)?
nope, they are still playing. this is just a passion project for these guys.
@@Freedirtrecords thanks
Wait…..isn’t that the guy from lighthouse?
Wow, Andrew really needs Emily's harmonies.
