When was this interview taken? Because in late months of 2014, Shim Moore was released from the band and she talks in this interview like they're still a 3 piece rock band. I've known of Sick Puppies way before they were famous. It was probably 2009 or 2008 when I first saw them live in Grand Island, Nebraska. 2nd opener for Avenged Sevenfold. I feel in love as a little rock head I was with Emma she absolutely killed it.
Then saw them again when they were in North Platte, Nebraska at NebraskaLandDays. That show they had the crowd going for an 1:30 easy. We were jumping just jamming. Actually cut into Halestorm's play time. A thunderstorm rolled in and with heavy winds at an outdoor show and we only got 1 song and about half of another by Halestorm before they shut it down. It sucked ass! But loved the show anyways.

Here's my 2 cents. Sick Puppies (the Shim era) had a soul. "Sick Puppies" (post Shim) is just a bunch of screaming with no real substance, no meaning, no SOUL. They have become the same as 1 million other wannabe "metal" bands that just don't have that same spark. Like Journey without Steve Perry...Motley Crue without Vince Neal...Black Sabbath without Ozzy Ozbourne. It just doesn't click the way it should. Now I loved Emma and she's an awesome slapper on a meaty track with a decent voice, but she should have known that and stayed in Shim's corner till the end and ditched the manager.

My band "From Dawn Till Death" got to open for Sick Puppies in 2017 with Emma, Bryan, and Mark at Gullifty's Underground in Camp Hill, Pa. They were all Awesome. The following year we got to open for original Sick Puppies singer Shimon Moore, "SHIM" with his new band at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pa. Hung out with SHIM afterwards. They were all Awesome too. Good times and a lot of good advice from all. Emma is Awesome!!! She is Gorgeous!!! She can play the hell out of that Warwick!!!

I was fortunate enough to have VIP access to their tour bus and back stage at a show in Destin. The feeling of hanging out on the bus with the band and having them even play an intimate couple songs on the bus for me and the half dozen other die hard fans on the bus is an experience I count as the number one rock concert experience of my life. My VIP pas hangs right in the middle of my "concert wall".
