@@jokeman5635 Most of the games you replied with came out past 2015. For comparison, natural disaster survival came out IN 2008
Here are some reason why those games were picked:
1: Many of these older games haven't been updated in months, or in some cases years. They couldn't add games that have been abandoned.
3: *The event wasn't made to showcase older Roblox games*. It was to, as they quoted "A classic spin on the modern Roblox" That's why games such ad blade ball and TTD were used.
3: Re occurring games such as TDS, Blade Ball and TTD appeared due to how they did and/or preformed in the hunt even just a month back. Either due to monetary gain or general quality (TDS is one example) but mainly the money aspect.
I hope these reasons make it seem a bit more clear on why the event is like this

I started playing in 2008, as I look at my old favorites, none of those games are shown even by John, which makes me feel extremely old.
Roblox really thought they could pull an og fortnite week event, without any semblance of the original games.
Its like if fortnite just added the buildings from the original map to the current one

I think that the event is supposed to be a spin on the classic roblox games by adding some retro things to newer games to mimic the older roblox but at the same time show how different it is now? Also roblox prob tried to message classic/golden age devs but they probably weren’t active.

The problem with this event to me is the fact that everything is a scavenger hunt. Having everything a scavenger hunt is tedious and frustrating. They aren't even good minigames with clues, but are just look at the wiki and search everywhere as you do this in the duration of 4 days.
At least TTD has a small lobby so definitely easier to find the tix.

I don't think you understand. Roblox can't just say "be in a event" to a game and expect it to do, half of the games you mentioned like TB, Natural disasters etc don't even get updates anymore. So why would they make an event for their game that is only going to last 6 days?

I'm playing from 2017, but somehow it changed to 2018, my favourite event was the hallows eve and 2019 egg hunt, i didn't played 2018 egg hunt sadly.
Only problem with og games is that they don’t get updated often, so they likely wouldn’t make an update for the classic event

That's why pizza sim and other og games aren't in it and plus most og creators quit roblox or had their game canceled or whatever ive seen some people complain about tds be in the event but not the real og tower battles and from my research im pretty sure that game is canceled or not getting any more updates

@aabrakadabraa_ I'm not really good at explaining my thoughts and opinions so that's why my yapping session might not make sense to most people but here is some more info on what I mean you see the 8 year olds that play roblox won't like to play games like pizza sim all the gameplay is contains driving a bike to houses that's not really stimulating to that brain rotted head of theirs so that's why more stimulating games that are popular with children are in there like blade ball and skibidi toilet tower defense is in the event and let's be honest like 1/3 children would know about the event without the popular games that they play in it. And before you bring up bee simulator it's probably only in the event so older players will be semi happy about the event with a semi old game in it. Enjoy the wall of text lol

I think the reason they picked all these games are not about classic, more like about "fun", i mean with that, that they picked popular games with great player base so the players have more "fun" while gettings the tokens and tix and that also maybe explains the difficulty and time that they gave us to complete the event.

I think the main problem with old games is that most of them don’t have a development team still working on them so they can’t make events.
I was roaming around the lobby and I saw a picture of survive the disasters, I was really exited but when I went to see the games it wasn’t there… they acknowledged it… but they just… didn’t…

maybe a simple reason why these games didn't get included is for 1 thing: no updates.
all the old games you have mentioned before just never gotten majorly updated since a long time, as there's a possibility that
1. they abandoned the game
or
2. they just don't feel like updating every week/month anymore.
and as you know, games like these doesn't participate much on events (maybe excluding christmas or halloween).
and EVEN THEN its also possible that they announced the event a week before it releases, giving a small time for developers to code & implement the update regarding to the event.
or maybe they just randomly pick popular games.
There is also more old games such as Train War and Innovation Labs.

A huge complaint about The Hunt Event was quality control. Some games were just HORRIBLE to play in (not TDS though, which is great). And the classic event STILL has this issue. Here are 3 examples:
1. I dunno why, but every single time Arsenal is in an official Roblox event, the whole thing is WAY TOO DIFFICULT for new players. ROLVE!!! NOT EVERYBODY HAS GOOD AIM!!!
2. Bee Swarm Simulator is just misery. You will struggle to get past the FIRST WAVE! And they expect you to get past TEN OF THEM!
3. Blade Ball is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DO!!! My advice is that you get the first 2 tokens, and ditch, because the rest of them require 2 times more points to get. The whole thing is a literal BATTLEPASS!!! As if we have the TIME to GRIND!!!
Okay, having other games in a Roblox Event can give those games recognition. Believe it or not, I got introduced to TDS via the Metaverse Champions Event. However, if you make the event ABSOLUTE MISERY, don't you DARE have the AUDACITY to even THINK I'm going to LIKE your GAME!

@@Philip69i would say it from pats experience, keep in mind ive never played deepwoken. Ive speny months for the gummy boots and spirit bears quests so i feel the pain. But i found BSSs game very fun if you get the hang of it with a friend or two.
I barely ever played Arsenal and it was pretty easy for me. If you hide behind a wall, you can avoid all enemies who can't move while still being able to shoot them.
Bee Swarm Simulator wasn't even difficult man, just buy the swords if your a new player.

Honestly the dusty trip classic event was actually pretty decent. It’s not a game from 2010 but it has the basic looks when you load into the map, has simple zombies that chase after you and has a boss battle that’s actually fun. It’s simple with tasks you need to do so I won’t spoil all of it.😅

Zeppelin Wars doesn't update, it was confirmed by the owner that their making a new zeppelin wars game. So Zeppelin wars unfortunately couldn't be in the classic event

Bloodfest is probally going to be in the event my prediction because it release in 2011 and it also got reviewed by roblox. Who knows probally there is goijg part 2 of the event.
I first started in 2012. I forgot my password and then my sister broke my tablet. I then recontinued my time on 2019 on my Xbox and it’s been like that ever since. I still stand by what I said years ago to my friends: I miss old Roblox. As soon as this generation started making games that’s when I realised barely anything good will be made. This event sorta feels like an insult if anything, making the newer games have the old look doesn’t feel right at all. It doesn’t fit.

Like the hunt with korblox, the classic is a theme of classic roblox. I think bee swarm simulator and arsenal were good picks cuz of this even tho they arent too "og" but the rest of the games are still too modern to work with this type of event.

The saddest thing is entering Roblox after months of inactivity, with joy and expectation for a "CLASSIC" event and that you hope to at least play those classic games again that made us so much fun in their time. All only to realize that it is just another event of the bunch, with games only themed in the "classic" and non-classical, with bundles and a kind of excessively expensive paid "pass" with prizes that do not even reach the level of quality of the prizes they used to give in ancient events just as you say
