My mother is a flight attendant for American Airlines based at O’Hare. In 1990 she’d been flying 10 years. She said she showed up to the airport sometime during the spring and they were filming the airport scenes of Home Alone. She wondered why the concourse was decked out with Christmas decorations and soon found out why.

I remember this movie staying in the cinemas for six months straight that year and it was the #1 movie in the US all those months. Parents will take their kids like five times and even more to see it. Kids couldn't get enough of Kevin, making Mackaulie Culkin the most famous and richest child on the planet. Btw, the score of this movie is superb.

I think Home Alone is one of those series where the sequel is good if not better than the first part. (Most sequels don't meet the expectations of the first part.) Even after 32 years, both movies are amazing. R.I.P to those who've died.

Back in the mid 90s when I was in highschool, I told my friend: "the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s all had their things, the 90s has nothing, the 90s is so bland and boring". Now looking back the 90s was a magical time, the last ice age before cell phone, internet and digital gadgets roll in. The 90s with cable tv and tv ads, newspapers, sale flyers altogether made each holiday very vivid and special, made you feel eager for Christmas, Halloween now these 2 holidays are not the same . Tv ads were considered nuisances, now I had to search for them so I could feel the "days of yore".
The 90s people talked more to each other on the buses and subways rather than 9/10 persons holding cell phones , You could hear stories of how families buying Christmas gifts and celebrating on the buses and trains.. People read books, newspapers, tv sitcoms were amazing . Morning and weekend cartoons were the best of the best that ever created, now I don't understand the new animation at all.
Watching this and all the Home Alone casts it takes me back to the exact period, the 90s was so beautiful, it was full of dreams and hopes .... the imagination expanded as far as the eye could see, the future was so rosy, faces were young ....now all my uncles and aunts and people I know are aging, I pray for everyone of them, and I miss the 90s so much .

@Logia SD True, when you're in school you thought it was bad, but once you're out in the world and getting a job, things get sour, so we start to miss the good old days . Not only we're carefree but we still had family, mom, dad, siblings, uncles and aunts, teachers, classmates, friends, it's the mentality of being embraced as a child . When you're an adult everybody is too busy, you get more stresses and lonely and you start to trace back to the good old days. Knowing it's gone and won't return it's more special.
Talking about Fresh Prince and the Golden Girl, I bought pretty much every 80-90s sitcom collection they have at Walmart lol, some are still in wraps, from: Fresh Prince, Golden Girl, Marriage With Children, Rosanne, Full House, The Simpsons, so so many I don't remember how much I have, and don't know if I have time to watch them all, but if Walmart put out anything I will take it .

These movies will always be my favorite Christmas films! I was 4 when the first film came out & might have been the first movie I saw in a theater which was my earliest memory of going to the theater. I still have the first film on VHS, but upgraded to the DVD a decade ago & just upgraded again to the 4K Blu-ray last year which I paid only $10 on Black Friday & looks really good for a 30+ year old film.
My mum and dad took me the cinema to see home alone.. remember how excited I was to watch it. I was 9!

Эти фильмы стали классикой. Смотрим их каждый год на Рождество и Новый год. Одни из лучших рождественских фильмов. Мне был 31 год, когда вышел первый фильм, смотрела тогда, смотрю до сих пор с удовольствием.

I was seven years old when I first watched this movie, we still have the VHS tape 10 years ago but it was disappeared after flash flood took place. Man I'm already 38 and still remember this line. "KEEP THAT CHANGE DIRTY ANIMAL"
