For some, motocross could best be described as a never-ending physical and emotional rollercoaster. From standing atop the podium hoisting a championship trophy, to laying on a hospital bed questioning your future and everything you’ve worked for - this sport can flip your world upside down in the blink of an eye. Red Bull KTM’s Dean Wilson is all too familiar with said scenario. Wilson has been sidelined by injury every season since capturing the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 250 class championship in 2011. After nearly calling it quits when he blew out his knee in 2015, Wilson suffered the same fate just one year later. Only this time, his message has been one of perseverance and positivity. Promising to come back stronger for outdoors, Dean is on a mission to set an example for folks with unfortunate luck to prove that they too can fight back and continue being successful.

Tore my acl in 3 times in high school playing basketball , after the last one I gave up because it was just to much for me physically and emotionally wish I would of seen this back then ! Way to work hard man I know your pain!!

I'd rather be doubled over in pain as an old man not being able to breathe properly or move, that's a small price to pay for the satisfaction of being able to look back and say ''At least I lived''. Fuck pain, is it going to affect you now? Maybe maybe not I'd rather take risks, life's to short to to stay safe, fuck it. Respect from Wales brother.

raced downhill for a long time sponsored and had so many injuries from lung collapses to broken ribs to dislocated shoulder... you name it. had to quit at 18 because all the pain was just unbearable especially my lungs. Looking back i honestly feel foolish because I have damaged my body for the rest of my life for an adrenaline rush and for results.

Everyone would do the same as you for that adrenaline rush. It's the best drug ever.
