Chilling video: F-35 fighter jet falls crashes at Alaska Air Force base

A chilling video shows the moments an F35 fighter jet crashed from the sky at an Air Force base in Alaska.
The video showed the plane crashing onto the tarmac at Eielson Air Force Base, near Fairbanks, Alaska, exploding into a fireball.
Miraculously, the pilot survived, safely evacuating the plane as it plummeted toward the ground. The video appears to show the pilot floating to the ground in a parachute. Officials say the F35 assigned to the 354 Fighter Wing was flying in a local training exercise on Tuesday when something went terribly wrong.
"It went up in flames and I didn't want to drive any further," a witness said.
The pilot was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The crash comes after a string of incidents involving military aircraft in recent years.
