John Fogerty wrote this song back in the 70’s, quite a bit of his stuff was bootleg back then.
I saw the E Street Band play it.

Great band and great lesson
I guess it's first Quo tutorial, so I'm looking forward to Caroline or something else)
Cheers Pavel, if people like I will post some more (I do love a bit of Quo :) )
@@guitartutorman thank you very much!
IMHO it's slightly underrated band, they have not only straightfoward rock songs (as some people say) but many stunning tunes (I've picked up dim7 and 13th chords from their Blue for You :))
cool.....
Cheers :)
Dude, can you bring to your channel the song, I'll Fight - Daughtry. Thanks!!
Can anyone help me please with the yellow down stroke for the rhythm? What is the technique called? as trying to learn how to mute the strings like Alan does! Thanks so much for the great vid.
Hi Will - It’s called a palm mute; you have to place your hand across all the strings on a down strum a fraction of a second before the pick hits. It’s all about timing and finding the best position for your hand to make contact. It took me a few days of practice (on and off in bursts of about 10 minutes 3 or 4 times a day) but It was worth it. I hope this helps. Best of luck. Alan :)
@@guitartutorman Hi Alan - thank you so much for the guidance and advise. I will give this a go and let you know how it goes! All the best,
Will
As you know of my picture I am a guitarist but I can't play this song it's so good and you just told me it
Best wishes with it Josh :)

Have you done Jonny Cash's song, Ring of Fire?
I looked but didn't see it. For some reason I just can not reproduce the melody of that seemingly simple song. The bass note has this little skip that eludes me and drives me crazy...! Lol
I'd love free as a bird and real love...
How exactly is the yellow stroke different from the others?
edit: You explained it later xD
I like your teaching style and the format using boxes, but if I may make a suggestion, why not color the strings in the right box for picking and strumming as well as the finger placement for notes and cords. Then use the left box for the strumming up and down movements. With the strumming up and down motions being easier to learn and follow leaving everything else important in the right box to focus on. I'm a beginner so you don't have to give this much weight but I feel it would make it easier for me. And I'm all about the easy
Ran across the kinks yesterday, that would test your vocals.
Does the yellow mean pause.
