- We finally find our way through the airport and make it to Colorado. After a 6 hour drive, we get up the mountain just in time to roost a bird. The next morning Bryant and Tommy get close to him just to have him fly the other way. Luckily there are several other gobblers close by and they call one in close.

Headed to Colorado this spring, any tips? never been there before. Hunting around Colorado Springs!
Follow the snow line up the mountain. Usually you’ll find mountain birds right below the snow. We went late in the season, which hurt us I believe. Early May would be ideal.
@@3kproductions269 Thank You! We are headed out for the opener for two weeks so who knows what kind of weather will be waiting for us when we get there. Or hunting pressure!
