Mmm... Starting to wonder if Evan isn't too direct and natural threat to Siya's spot as Roos himself said recently that he quite enjoys playing at No. 6 (on Box Office show).
If so, Roos will get his turn, each great player has to bide his time... look how long Duane Vermeulen had to wait and graft. Evan would be well advised to show humility and patience.

I wish the all blacks had a coach like this man. Long term data shows the all blacks select captains by race. The springboks are more forward thinking.
Sorry but that irks me. We get max one or two questions at a press conference. I do ask questions - asked him 3 today. Plus if I have a really good story, not going to ask my question in front of every other journo, but do it behind the scenes. Got nothing to do with being in anyone's good books. They are double World Cup winners, and have won 3 of their four tests this season, losing one with a last-gasp drop goal. Hardly cause for whatever questions you are suggesting. And often your question gets asked by another journo in a slightly different way that you would have phrased it Anyway, its easy to sit in the comments and criticise.
Apologies if I misread the intention. This is something that unfortunately gets thrown around a lot in comments. Thats probably why I'm a bit sensitive about it. Often get told you dont ask the hard questions, when we do, and there is a time and place to confront and be direct. At the moment the Boks are on a high, double World cup champs and have earned the right to get the benefit of the doubt. That could change, and sport goes through cycles. But it is normally a lazy insinuation that you're not a good journo because you don't ask the hard questions in some people's minds when there is a lot more that goes into covering a press conference. There is a time to be combative and direct. Plus the whole nature of the presser currently doesnt lend itself to direct questions as well. Those normally come in one-on-ones. Add to that a lot of behind the scenes chats, and confrontations which are not seen in public in a platform like youtube (where coaches confront us over things we write). There is a lot going on. Perhaps that is why we're a bit sensitive to a sweeping comment like that. As I say, I may have misread your comment, but it is thrown this way at least once a week.
Irish best team in the world???? After losing 3 of their last 8 test matches. Losing against NZ, England and SA. Never reach a world cup semi final. Not even reach no.1 in the world rankings the last 9 months. Irish fans are day dreaming. Enjoy it.
Evan is is so unlucky.Hy kort n uitdaging soos Ausies .Hy is n harde werker...Kwagga baie beter op flank vir 80min en beter as impak speler 2de helfde op 8.
@@coryellcoryell1 I (my opinion) is that when they (the 'guys') leave the changeroom to engage with civil society through a press briefing there should be a tone and communication adjustment. To me it sounds casual, undignified and unprofessional. But, as an anti-royalist, we don't need them 😊
@@coryellcoryell1 That is fine, we all have our predilections, but yes, pretentiousness anywhere is a pain, but (1) it is not confined to business, (2) professional sports is a (big) business, and (3) the absence of formality need not be casual banter (amongst 'guys'). Our words, our body language and our actions convey our story - I am inclined to a press briefing by highly paid and pampered people that is as professional as their game is required to be. I am sure that is an acceptable standard?👍
The Springboks are the "calm" b4 the storm,, great R/C ahead good luck Rassie & staff..
Dr Rassie is in a great spirit
Ya, he looks better, happy for him.
Glad U think so, he's aged 20 years

That was Liam's quesion?? of all the things to ask the bok coach...bru.
Are we giving Wales the option on Hanekom?
I doubt it, he hasn't ever shown interest in that
Brenden, why didn't you ask him about nr 8..?
because another journo did.
I've noticed Brendan never wants to ask any questions, questioning Rassie on anything. Think he wants to be in his good books.

Rassie looks 15-20 years older since Ireland were here.

@Baz502 Noooo u must be Irish
You realise he has an illness, right? Like it's well known

Evan Roos who's that pray tell😅
Liewe Rassie, in jou laaste 7 Afrikaanse minute, wees trots Afrikaans en vermy mengels asb, bv : "nod", "cover", "makeup", "squad", "world cup", "swinger", "leeway", "effort", "changes", "try", "selector", "attention to detail", "championship", "luggage", ens.
Leaway…wat is fout met beweegruimte?
to be fair, I couldnt remember the word when i asked the question. so went with leeway and think rassie just latched on that
Who is the voice that seems to try to manage the press briefing? "cool" and "guys"... It is so unprofessional. Sets a low class atmosphere.
Why would it have to be so formal? They're not in the presence of royalty.
it is their media manager
