Lord love you. You are such a hard worker and do it all with love and grace. Know that many are praying for you each day as you get nearer to your delivery date. May the Lord continue to bless you and your wonderful family. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
Wow, God bless that cattle rancher! He isn’t obligated in any way to replace the calves, and considering how much money those things can pull in, most ranchers won’t replace calves that die. He is certainly earning his spot in heaven, and I hope the kindness he shows others comes back to him as well. It makes my heart happy to hear of truly good acts being done by purely good people like this, and for truly good people like you and your family. I’ll echo what everyone is saying: I woke up this morning and thought, “Jessica probably posted a video, time to get up and get my weekly fix.” I love your content, but also love your delivery-you have such a kind and calming presence it’s therapeutic watching you.
@@hana.dd41874 I’ve never heard of anything like that being in place, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t something to that effect in some areas. The issue with that though is it’s not a piece of machinery or electronic equipment, so it’s kind of up to Mother Nature on the genetics and immune system strength in calves, so it’s pretty difficult to set a time on a living creature, particularly when they are put under quite a bit of physical and mental strain like they are when they are shipped. The other issue with calves is they are like human babies in that they decline very rapidly due to their size and “untested and not toughened” immune system-they can be presenting perfectly fine at 9 pm and be laying dead at 8 the next morning. This is just what I have seen and observed though so there may be something out there about at least a partial refund if the calf dies within 24-48 hours of receipt.
So happy to hear the rancher replaced the calves. My husband and I raise and sell cattle in Texas. You can marinate chicken breast meat in pickle juice and then fry it. It will taste very similar to a Chick-fil-A sandwich.
You may have just changed chicken and chicken sandwiches in my house-I never thought to marinate in pickle juice but it is a stroke of genius! I’ve got to tell my brother about this as well, he’s addicted to the Chick-fil-A sauce already, so he should try this as well and truly feed his addiction (he lives two hours from the nearest Chick-fil-A). His wife might kill me for getting him on another Chick-fil-A kick, but I’ll take my chances. 😹😹😹
Love starting my week with you! So calm, sweet and kind. God blesses those who bless others! Praying for Baby Three Rivers! Thank you for all you do to teach us and encourage us. Have a blessed week!❤️☺️🙏🏼
What is a baby sweet as a rose with petal pink skin and a week little nose, with hair soft as snowflakes and shimmering eyes, life's greatest miracle in your arms now lies. and what is a mother well that's hard to say she could have been anyone untill that day, but a baby was laid in her arms to impart a gentle new wisdom of mind and heart.
My greatneice was born yesterday. She was a little early. Almost 2 months. She,Mom and Dad are doing well. We have a new member of the family. Looking forward to your new baby.
So glad you shared your marshmallow fluff recipe! My daughter and granddaughter cannot tolerate corn in any form. Corn is put into everything! We have to read labels every. single. time. we use anything commercially made. Think of ingredients vaguely listed as sugar, starch, thickeners, vegetable oil, and so on. Plus, food manufacturers change recipes all the time without making note of it on the front of the packages. Homemade marshmallows will be a nice surprise for them! As baking powder has corn starch, she makes our baking powder (for our 4 households) with tapioca starch and baking soda. I usually add a extra half measure of the homemade baking powder to make sure things come out nice and fluffy. I actually “Woohoo’d!!” out loud to see that Azure Standard has hash brown potatoes that don’t have any sugar or oils added! We will definitely be putting those on the order list! Not only do you bless us with your homesteading and homemaking skills, you help raise awareness of food allergies! The three of us have had anaphylactic reactions to all nuts and some legumes like peanuts and green peas. Having one’s throat swell shut never makes for a good day, to put it mildly! We carry a pair of epi-pens (and antihistamine pills) with us at all times! I’ve had some close calls before we carried epi-pens and as scary as that is to experience, it’s a million times worse to see your child’s lips literally turn blue from lack of oxygen! God bless you for all the extra work required to keep your beautiful family healthy and happy!
I am a new subscriber and can I tell you how wonderful it is to see kids whose faces are not constantly in their phones actually talking to their parents and each other. They are dressed nicely they don't have body parts showing they don't have multiple piercings and tattoos oh this is the life I wish everybody had. You have done a great job on the homestead with these children
I make my canned beef stew the exact same way. We add thickener when we open the jar. I like to add curry powder and make a beef curry out of it, also.
God watches over his children So happy you were able to replace your calves and didn’t have to pay for them. God Bless the cattle man that did you right in my eyes. I realize it wasn’t his fault nor yours but good came out of it. Love your videos. Your a remarkable mother. God Bless you and your family.
Don't forget to remember what you ran out of during the January's and February's no grocery shopping last year in your next Azure order before the baby if you are going to do that especially after having a baby. I am really amazed at what you do. God bless
Thank you for answering part of my question… I was wondering if you can refrigerate and it keeps its form for later use. I’m also wondering if you can freeze it in dollops? I don’t have a freeze dryer myself.
Thank you for as always being there for the end of my weekend. You are my fav UA-camr. Thank you for sharing everything you do with us and handling everyone's comments with so much grace.
Today I have learnt that there is cacao and cocoa! I love the canned soup stew. Here in Poland soup is a must especially in the winter season. We've got dozens of soup recipes in the Polish cuisine. PS. The little boys are cute hanging out just in their diapers/underwear. Your house must be really warm!
Hi Jessica, I hope you're feeling awesome and that that wee babe, is growing and doing what babes are meant to do at your time through your pregnancy. All my love from, Dee in NZ ❤️
So glad you showed how the raw stew is readied for canning. I normally cook then can but this process saves time! The calves are a blessing-the rancher is one who knows that giving is receiving-what a blessing for your family. I love watching your children being kids but also being helpful. The fluff is so pretty and I know gives cocoa a wonderful taste. You inspire me weekly. Please remember to take care of you and baby. Prayers to you all-have an abundant week~
Everything I see you do is top notch! I love all you did to prevent shipping fever.... especially the alleyway! What a good person who replaced your steers when he didn't have to! Faith in humanity restored! 😂
You have a lovely property, so well looked after. Hope the calves are by now all settled in. What a great idea canning the stew, I slow cook mine and then freeze. Well the cacao must be doing the advertising for keeping skin lovely. Often thought how lovely your skin is.
I love how you find a use for everything, you waste nothing. Which reminds me of how God is the same way. Nothing goes to waste. He redeems everything, even our past sin gets put to use. What an awesome God we serve!
I raw pack canned beef stew last year. Love how tender the beef is. I have a couple beef roasts I'm going to can in pints to make more freezer space. Have a blessed day.
Your videos are just pure joy to watch, thank you for sharing your beautiful family and life with us. You are by far my favourite homesteading channel to watch. Where I find others to be contrived, showy or boastful at times, Jessica you are refreshingly humble & true. You are a genuinely good person and it shows. Can’t wait for next week’s video! PS, you look radiant as always. God bless x
Thanks for showing the Marshmallow fluff again!! I am going to try it with hot cocoa this winter when I have my grandkids here! :) I have decided, also...I have wanted to do an Azure Standard Haul for so long. So while I am doing the pantry challenge this year (since I have been stocking with freezer meals i have been making on my channel and canning meals) i am going to take my grocery money and do a cash stuffer envelope and save it for an Azure haul. I am super excited about this!
God's blessing with the new cattle-hope they adapt well to their new home. Always watching for new ideas on canning and preserving the foods we already have - been very busy this summer myself with lots and lots of canning. Many blessings on these last few months for Baby #8 - I idol every pregnancy and hope I will be blessed with one myself again 🙂
I have the same garlic “smasher” and I love it! I was rewatching some of your older videos and I cannot believe how much your children have grown in just 2 years😮 Particularly Gabe and Grace and obviously Benjamin. From todays video it looks like Gabe may be as tall as you or close to it? Thanks for sharing your week with us!
Jessica, Did you know that your marshmallow fluff is a great cream replacement in coffee? It gives that creamy feel while being less caloric and gut healing at the same time!
Thank you Jessica for all you do! Wanted to tell you I made lemon and orange extract last week had to go watch your video on that again. Hope you and yours have a Blessed until next Sunday I always look forward to your videos.
Thank you for sharing your marshmallow fluff recipe. I have everything on hand and can whip up a batch when I need to instead of buying the jars from the store. I’m amazed at how much you get done each day being pregnant. I remember being exhausted my entire pregnancy. I’ll be praying for a quick and easy labor and delivery for you and your new baby.
Me too! Fatigue was actually my first and most reliable symptom of being pregnant, and it never left the whole pregnancy. I was blessed to not have morning sickness, gestational diabetes, or eclampsia, but if I sat down for more than ten minutes at work, chances were good a coworker would be waking me up. I don’t think I ever was able to watch a full movie while pregnant, I was asleep on the couch long before it was done. I still enjoyed pregnancy though, it is an amazing process, but Jessica sets the bar very high for pregnant women: she is probably the most beautiful pregnant woman I’ve ever seen (she actually has that good glow, not the overheated sweaty mess I was) and it’s just the baby bump increasing, not everything, she’s graceful-which probably sounds bizarre to some people, but I am naturally a bit clumsy and when another human was on board I was tripping over lint in carpet, and like you said, she’s so productive it puts my non-pregnant self to shame. LOL!
how wonderful that the calves were replaced out of the goodness of his heart.....I love the mixer, I've never seen something like that before. definitely gonna make some fluff! you're so inspiring, I love all your videos
Love waking up on Sundays and watching your videos while drinking my coffee. You are such an inspiration! I learn something every time I watch you and that is so refreshing as I am retired and 64 years old. Looking forward to baby Three Rivers making their appearance into this world. Until next week, God bless you and your family!!!
Wow. What a wonderfully busy and Blessed week for your family. Praying the Lord calms your mind, body and your spirit as you and your family prepare for the arrival of the baby.
Marshmallow fluff looks great will try that for sure. A tip on freeze drying, never mix frozen and non frozen foods in at the same time. You could have put the pickle juice in for more dry time and it would have finished drying. I changed the factor set 2 hours of extra time when drying cycle says finished to 12 hours which gives you more time to get food out before the machine needs to be warmed up to get the food safely bagged or jarred up. Cold food will not store well. Just got load 106 out of our freeze dryer. Love yours.
Your new calves are precious! I hope things work out better for them! It was really nice of the man to replace them for you!!!!! Love how everyone steps in and helps out with everything. It will be time to start planning meals for when new baby comes pretty soon!!!!! So exciting!!!!! I know your girls are going to be such a big help, well, all of your children will be so helpful during that time!!!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing your week. I really enjoy watching your different projects. Thanks for sharing how you make your marshmallow fluff. Glad to see you can use a bay leaf in your canned beef stew. I love the flavor of bay leaf. I am so glad the Dairy Farmer replaced the calves. He will be so blessed for doing that.
Great tips for canning stew! I have never canned stew that way. Looking forward to giving that a try. I am saving this video for that and the marshmallow fluff recipe. I was just talking to my husband this week about your marshmallow fluff. I'll have to make some for him this week. What a wonderful rancher to replace those calves for you! I pray that he is blessed abundantly for his kindness.
💚 Thanks for sharing your week! Love the Beef Stew and freeze-dried marshmallow fluff and pickle juice! Bless you All. Oh, and your 2 new steer calves..beefy boys for 2024. 💚
So happy that you are getting so prepared for your new arrival & for the winter! Love the fluff recipe😋yummy! Such a blessing that you got your steers replaced!❤🙌❤
Parsley always reminds me of my grandpa who was a farmer. Right outside his fishing shop (he made his own lures, poles, weights etc) he always had a beautiful densely planted bed of the curly parsley. When he would walk past it during the day he would grab a sprig to munch on to freshen his breath (he was a tobacco chewer). Plus I'm sure the vitamin C probably was probably as much a benefit to his healthy constitution as his daily shot of whiskey and honey he took. My mother would occasionally make homemade marshmallows which was always quite a treat. I'm sure that as adults your children will look back with such fond memories of their cocoa with marshmallow fluff.
Blessings to you and your family also! God bless the farmer and his family that replaced the two cows that passed away. Even though we know that was the right and godly thing to do, not everyone follows it. Thank you for being such an example of what we should do to provide for our family in a healthy and wholesome way.
Hi, You motived me I took 2 roast out of the freezer and made 6 quarts of Beef Stew. It will be nice to come home after church and heat up some stew. I trim the fat and some meat off the roast now I will make some beef Broth. Good Video
Jessica, I'm late to comment, but as always I love watching your videos. Your love for your family always shines through. It was also nice to get a peek of your husband and your fantastic family dinner. I'm thankful the farmer replaced the calves for you and glad you were preventative this time. Babies, especially animals can mask their symptoms, but go downhill quick from little stressors. I loved the fluff recipe too. Grandma Kim❤
The soup looks wonderful ☺️! When I was expecting I always tried to make food in advance for postpartum too. I would try for a full months worth of lunches and dinners and it always made for so much more peaceful post partum time. Enchiladas were our family's favorite! I would make lasagna and enchilada casseroles too. Our garden is finishing up as well and I'm getting ready to process a bunch of chicken soup with celery and carrots from the garden. I'm so excited!
If you didn't know, you might, but cocoa has magnesium in it, so I wonder if your lacking in that. Can't wait to see how you do the chicken pot pie filling, Interested in that video. Nancy from nebraska
Thanks for the another perfect video! :) I wish we also have the same products in our shops (Europe) as in USA. You did a BIG sacrify to cut out diary for the whole family, very nice of you. But you also have some allergies? Soy and wheat? Have a nice day 😊
I watch another vlogger who is expecting her 5th child any day. She lives on the West Coast of Florida; so, along with the rest of the Florida residents, could use our prayers for safety through the "storm"--the hurricane, due to hit Tuesday or Wednesday, from the Golf of Mexico. Anyway, she uses dates in "lactation balls", something she makes ahead if time and freezes, to munch on while nursing in the middle of the night. Do you also make them? My daughter made them and let us try them. They were delicious! Thanks for sharing another entertaining and informative video. God Bless you, and your family, as you follow Him!
Love your videos! It seems like they are only 5 minutes long. Great to see that you're getting so much done in preparation for the baby. Love Adam's Warrior Poet tshirt! My youngest son watches that channel. .
I have really appreciated your videos, especially those on canning. I've been encouraged by you to cut down on "waste" and have preserved some items that I had not in the past (tomato skins). I especially like seeing the scenes around your house since I grew up in northwestern Ohio myself (Sylvania)...oh, the flat open fields! I also appreciate your organization and diligence, Jessica. Thanks for your great channel. God bless you and your family!
I just wanted you to know that I really love watching your family grow and I pray for you to have a healthy safe delivery with your baby and thank you for showing all your canning and stuff I don't and I'm not able to do it I don't have that much to do with candy and stuff but I my grandmother and them used to can so I love watching you be able to do it and I love your family so God bless you and thank you for letting us share your life and your family
Thank you again for your time and sharing helpful hints and recipes, really good news that your calfs were replaced and hopefully they will he healthy, I hope you are getting some rest and your children are enjoying the cooler weather, making memories, take care, God bless
Also kids love to eat it frozen in the summer. I’ve noticed at the ballparks they freeze the juice and call it pickle pops and the kids always ask for it.
Love love love your channel. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and family with us. Azure hauls are so helpful. I appreciate that you research the products and tell me about them. Today especially dates and pregnancy.
Love it! Okay totally forgot about canning stews. Thank you for the reminder. next weekend. This weekend, canned ham, soup, pickled veggies, green tomato chow and pineapple jam. Whew. Getting ready for no grocery Jan/Feb. - Oct 15 14 quarts of stew canned.
I thinly sliced some of my older loaves of bread and laid them over the top of the onions and garlic. As crazy as it sounds it actually prevented the smells from getting into the other foods in addition to preventing my FD from smelling like garlic and onions.
I love getting up Sunday mornings to relax with a cup of coffee and watching your busy week. It always looks so calm and collected but I know in reality there must be a lot of noise with all that work. LOL I can't believe it's almost time for your winter challenge, my how time flies!! This time next year you'll have a new little joy sleeping on your back as you work. May God bless your family, keep you well and safe. Thank you for sharing!
The calves are beautiful, I'm glad to see that lane way worked so well. How strange that the pickle juice pucks didn't freeze dry properly. Freeze dried marshmallow fluff sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing lovely 💚
Thank you Jessica ,you learn me many thinks and tips ,Wow* ! I co make the Marsmello fluffie for mij Cacau, wichs you a good week and blessings greetings from Maja in the Nederlands.
I hear very conflicting things about palm oil .I don't know what to believe. I guess its all in what you read and believe in. So we use avocado oil and olive oil for almost everything. Interesting info about the dates. The cattle rancher did the right thing. Good for him and everyone! Thanks for sharing 🤗🍃🍂🍁🎃💗✝
I got those same carrots from azure. I dehydrated a ton, made stew and with the rest I made dill pickled carrots and sweet pickled carrots. Canned them up. The dill we're SO good. Didn't really care for the sweet ones.
Lord love you. You are such a hard worker and do it all with love and grace. Know that many are praying for you each day as you get nearer to your delivery date. May the Lord continue to bless you and your wonderful family. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰

Even if they die within 48 hours? They aren't obligated at all? There isn't any sort of "staying alive" guarantee for a few days?

what a sweet blessing
We need the 3R cookbook, “Every Scrap” where you list all the things you make, use and how…
So glad you shared your marshmallow fluff recipe! My daughter and granddaughter cannot tolerate corn in any form. Corn is put into everything! I use the cubed hashbrowns in pot pie and in quick soups. They are very handy.
For the marshmallow fluff, you can add a few egg whites for added protein. I also refrigerate mine and use it for my tea throughout the week
Freeze dried, does the marshmallow fluff taste like meringues? What a clever idea! Thanks for sharing so much, what a joy.
At my children's middle school, they sold frozen pickle juice at the snack bar. The kids loved it.

I think with climbing food costs and shortages , soups will be high on many of our menus this winter.
Don't you just love being able to open a jar of stew!!!! Nice to see you again.
Such a good rancher to replace the calves. These are still good people in this world. Jesus binds us together. Your meal looks YUMMY!! 😀

Yay for the WPS t-shirt your hubs wore while grilling!
You always give inspiration to do the best as a mom. Thank you.

LOL!
Thank you for sharing your family life. Thank you for the blessings and prayers. I send blessings and prayers to your family 💜
how wonderful that the calves were replaced out of the goodness of his heart.....I love the mixer, I've never seen something like that before. definitely gonna make some fluff! you're so inspiring, I love all your videos
Hope you feeling well Jessica, pregnancy agrees with you! As always enjoyed this video today.
I look forward to your videos. Your calmness and love of your family and the Lord are an inspiration that I think of as I go throughout the week.
Blessings to you and your family also! God bless the farmer and his family that replaced the two cows that passed away. Even though we know that was the right and godly thing to do, not everyone follows it.
Thank you for being such an example of what we should do to provide for our family in a healthy and wholesome way.
My canned beef stew is my favorite canned meal. I usually bake a loaf of fresh bread to go with it. Quick & easy meal yet so delicious & nutritious.
I added mushrooms to beef stew last time and it was so good im going to try and do it every time
A very hardworking mom Graceful and very humble in nature Wonderful parents obedient children Housefull of children is gift from God God bless you all
i would love to hear more about your herbs that you put oil on the and what remidies you uses them for. one you had was golden rod in oil.
I add water chestnuts to my stew. I love the crunch. Awesome that God blessed you with the calves ❤️🙌
Thank you for showing us how to make fluff. Your such a worker for your family. Take time for yourself also.
I love Medjool dates!!! Probably the best kind!! I learned how to make a great daterraid from Freelee the Banana Girl!
Pickle juice snow cones are a favorite in Texas.
Love your videos! It seems like they are only 5 minutes long. Great to see that you're getting so much done in preparation for the baby. Love Adam's Warrior Poet tshirt! My youngest son watches that channel. .
Thanks for the marshmallow fluff recipe. I love it.
I love your videos and the absolute calmness of your voice.
Dill Pickle soup is really good too.
Glad you were able to replace the two calves know that will be helpful. Thank you for sharing your week.
Thank you again for your time and sharing helpful hints and recipes, really good news that your calfs were replaced and hopefully they will he healthy, I hope you are getting some rest and your children are enjoying the cooler weather, making memories, take care, God bless
Pickle juice is good for making homemade mustard.
- Oct 15 14 quarts of stew canned.
we put garlic dill pickle juice in mashed potatoes instead of milk sometimes
I thinly sliced some of my older loaves of bread and laid them over the top of the onions and garlic. As crazy as it sounds it actually prevented the smells from getting into the other foods in addition to preventing my FD from smelling like garlic and onions.
Try lining ur pans w/ plastic wrap before pouring liquid in for freeze drying … we have success with this
I love getting up Sunday mornings to relax with a cup of coffee and watching your busy week.
Wow! You made canning beef stew look so easy!
I'm blessed God put your videos into my life. Sending blessings to your family!

The calves are beautiful, I'm glad to see that lane way worked so well. How strange that the pickle juice pucks didn't freeze dry properly. Freeze dried marshmallow fluff sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing lovely 💚
Blessed Sunday
Always love seeing Azure hauls. Gives me ideas of what to try next.
Amen for the Cattleman who Honors his work by replacing those calves for free.
I pray blessings over your family as well Jessica. Have an axing week. Be blessed friend. Loved this video.
