I think it's better that you can only use it if the key is on (engine off, but key is in ignition) coz most cars are like that
@@zaf2774 old cars can use A/c Without having the ignition inside, but it will waste fuel and battery

@@maceeiko because a/c wastes fuel no matter iff the car is on or off, it will waste fuel. just low amount of fuel

@@m1sst4k37 not that much because my dads 90s sh#tboxes dont have an AC but i know a little bit from my uncles 2000s sh#tbox that hás an AC. If the air is going directly into the Passengers compartiment and the engine is in the engine bay, tell me how it would cool off with the AC on

heater works like second small radiator, thats flows by fans installed on it
so if you turn heater on, you basically connect additional cooling radiator to yours car cooling system

the cooling unit only cools the cab,not the other way round (cools the engine bay) mainly due to thermodynamics which I won't go into but long story short : heat no transfer to cab,cab transfer heat to engine.
in semi short : the engine doesn't get enough air to give thermal energy the the radiator unit.
