All supersports can be adjusted according to your riding style. They all consider uncomfortable anw. But im never changing my r1 06 5v for daily it has far superior 'commute' design and position. My crossplane is left for them weekend blasts. As for which bike might be slight best commuter of them supersports due to ergonomics i would prolly go with the 06 07 zx10R if you proper tune the suspension. The big gen2 ninja has a very comfy seat and a very friendly position for a jockey rider like me
Purely an aggressive bike from Yamaha, the crossplane-crankshaft makes it more beastly as it sounds more like a Kaiju 🐲. Now i know that's a dragon, but it would sound as mean as that. Keep up the good work, and never stop making the videos! Awesome video👍.
Awesome! I’m hoping to snag me a R1 and slap a Austin racing exhaust on it when i get back home. Beautiful bike. And great video! Thanks for the review!
Another cool vid. Progressing through all your content while I'm stuck at work and can't ride. Just a heads up on the quickshifter...keep the throttle open man, you're defeating 1/2 of the point of it. Just shift ;)
Bill S Thanks! Haha I’m glad I’m providing some entertainment! Yeah it actually took me that bike and the Panigale V4 before I learned that you keep the throttle open when shifting. I know now! 😃
Yeah yeah, people keep telling me about letting off of the throttle when quickshifting. I filmed this a long time ago and was my first time using one so I didn’t know. 😄🤷♂️
If it’s coming from the dealer just see if they are aware of the recall and can have it repaired. I’d say just do your homework before getting yourself into a money pit. Other than than if it’s a good deal go for it.
Reading through the responses to see if anyone was going to point this out. Keep that throttle pinned to the stop and just click up, it's a great feeling and for me it's hard to ride a bike without (I have a Ninja H2 SX SE, if you get a chance give that a test)
Got to test drive a gsxr 600 or 1000, I heard they are the most comfortable seat position. Nice r1 even tho I'm not a big fan of yamaha they still nice bikes.
@@itsmeericb I see your k5 600 which is I believe a 2005 which if you sell it I want it lol but here is my real question is 05 gsxr 600 have the same power as a 2015 or greater gsxr 600?
Chris Rodriguez Haha! I don’t know if I’ll ever get rid of it! That is a good question, but it think if you take care of it the bike should be just as fast. I believe they all still have around the same horsepower.
I would not. I heard about the 15 transmission as well. I havent had any issues with mine but i am not looking forward to the issues. I have not had any issues yet and i run my bike pretty hard but all the same.... I may be doing trans work soon..
@@kevmc209 I appreciate the advice man the dealership said they are not sure if the transmission problem was addressed so im going to play it safe and go for the 16 model for a bit more 💰
Some guys have a 15 and never had an issue.... Like myself. Others have been sorely disappointed. You could be saving yourself trouble in the long run.... Never anything wrong with that. I promise youll love the bike either way.. The electronics, handling, power, is astonishing at least. Good luck to you my friend. Stay safe
One question, I am going between CBR1000RR and R1. Does it really make a huge difference when you city ride the bike? Or is it slightly different? I am not going to take the bike to tracks really, maybe once or twice a year but still I want a fast bike. Which one should I get ?
Emre Bekmez I would say ride them both how you will be normally riding them and decide. Both bikes are great but if I had to choose one for the street only it would be the CBR.
Mac Zuniga Ahhhhh! It’s so close! I think I like this one better. More power, loaded with tech, amazing TFT display and handling. The 2012 is no slouch and still looks sexy AF!
Florian Duris I have not had the chance to ride an S1000RR yet. Compared to the CBR, I’d say the CBR is a better street bike. The R1 is more of a track machine but it can be a daily bike too. I would just prefer the CBR.
Old news haha! Look at the date of the video. I filmed this video a long time ago when I didn’t know that was how it was done. I think that was my first time using one. Fully aware now. 😄
Tell me you don’t know this is an old video without telling me you don’t know this is an old video. You think I actually ride like that right now? 🤣 I was new to quickshifters back then bro. 🤦♂️
Who is an R1 fan? Best 1000cc for the street?
It’s Me Eric B me
Nope it's not. The 2019 Suzuki GSXR 1000 is.
I'd choose CBR for street riding and R1 for track, S1000rr is a combo of both 🤟✔️

Idk that s1000 is mean.
2015 design much better then 2020 version

Awesome video👍.
The sound is amazing and the bike is a beast! Thanks!
Top tip. You don’t have to let off the throttle for the quick shifter.
Stephen Henry Yeah I didn’t know back then. I filmed this video 7 months ago. I now own a GSXR 1000 with a quick shifter. I’m good now! Haha!
Awesome! I’m hoping to snag me a R1 and slap a Austin racing exhaust on it when i get back home. Beautiful bike. And great video! Thanks for the review!
Enjoyed the video. I would recommend the R1 as well
2015 ain’t looking too bad but I think I’ll stick to my dream bike which is a 2014 r1 yea ik only one year difference but
Nice video! Cinematic’s and editing as well!
I can’t wait to get my hands on one of them! The CP4 sounds so DOPE! 🔥👌🏾
Randy’s Reality Thanks man! It’s an amazing bike! I think I like it more than the Panigale V4!
Great video. Great bike. I also don't understand why people would ride without mirrors. That's illegal in my country.
Awesome visuals!! You deserve more subs
Thanks!

That is my dream bike. The same color and year. It looks so sexy.
They started putting the auto-blimp (quick shift down) stock in ‘18
I’m looking into getting a 2015 should I get it even with a recall it’s from a dealership so it should be in great condition..????

@@itsmeericb thx bro much love🤙🏾
My dream bike
I have an FZ-09 but the idea of an R1 is growing on me. Oh god, I can hear my bank account crying
Haha!! Bike life is expensive!
You don’t have to let off the throttle when using the quick shifter just fyi
Ben S Yeah figured that out after the fact. 😄

zxhoya Yeah haha, it took me a couple of test rides to figure that out. I’d love to ride one, just gotta find one. 🤔
Such a clean bike!
That thing is a piece of art
Me! I am the no1 R1 fan, love this bike specially the crossplane models....
Nice blog mate, great review, 👍

I heard theirs a recall on the 15 transmission would u still recommend someone to buy the 15 model?

You know that r1 doesn't out do the 18 zx10r Eric B it's cool but it's no zx10r 🤣
Haha! Both are awesome bikes! I’d still take an R1 over a ZX10R any day! 😄
hey eric i just want to let you know that, you dont have to close the throttle when you’re up shifting if it has a quickshifter
Thanks for kind advice! 🙂 Yeah I think that was one of the first bikes I rode that had a quickshifter and I was still learning. I’m good now!
I'm looking to get a 2015 R1 but I heard they had a transmission recall- you have any issues with yours?
I heard about that but this was not my bike.
Hey! Is this better than S1000RR and CBR1000RR for a street use ?

fayetteville georgia or nc?
NC
love your videos...love from Bangladesh❤
SHIFT Thanks!
why let off the throttle to change up?
Back when I first started learning how a quickshifter works. Lol
RIDE THE FZ-09!!! And yes I love the R1
Westsiderider 52 I did ride the FZ-09! 😁 check out my latest video! ua-cam.com/video/ahkR0JZnXsk/v-deo.html
What's the name
about as much fun as i have on my G2 Ninja
It hurts seeing you “quick shift” and letting off the gas. That’s the point of quick shifting is staying wide open and clicking gears

Personally i prefere the 2013 model, in my opinion the front looks better but here the tail is suuper "NOOICE" 😂
Dimitar Vokata 😂 Yeah idk, I like the 2012-2013 style as well. The newer version has more tech in it.
@@itsmeericb For what i need a motorcycle ABS is enough for me when ridink on the streets. Also im poor soo. 😂😂

Test ride a ZX14R.

Is it R1S??!!!
No just the standard R1.
I have ridden my 2015 for 5 Years now , Awesome Bike ! Highly Recommended ! See Video's

That bike looks good. You're trippin
@@hfr8343 color matched grips and levers are childish lol mirror delete on a street bike.. lame.. needed to add the belly fairing to.. bike was trash
@@MADLITS1K I disagree
Almost as good as the suzuki but sounds better at low rpm
Erickzy Yes the main reason I’d own an R1 is for the engine sound and TFT display.
Jesus christ , why tf are you closing the throttle if the bike has a quickshifter. Fml tell me you can’t ride without telling me you can’t ride.

I cringed everytime I watch you roll off the throttle instead of using the quickshifter correctly.
Well it’s an old video and that was one of my first times ever using a quickshifter. Thanks for watching!
it doesn't look as good as the 07-08 and the 09-14
