This absolutely first rate. The superb dancers bring off the very tricky choreography magnificently, and they're really enjoying themselves. I've seen the show in the West End, and the dancers are equal to the ones in the West End.
The version i’m familiar with (1933) goes a little something like this… Now that we have had the rice and flowers The knot is tied I can visualize such happy hours Right by your side The honeymoon in store Is one that you’ll adore I’m gonna take you for a ride I’ll go home and pack my panties You go home and get your scanties And away we’ll go Oooh, ooh, ooh Off we’re gonna shuffle Shuffle off to Buffalo To Niagra in a sleeper, There’s no honeymoon that’s cheaper, And the train goes slow, Ooh, ooh, ooh Off we’re gonna shuffle, shuffle off to Buffalo. Someday, I hope we’ll be elected, To buy a lot of baby clothes, We don’t know when to expect it, But it’s a cinch Winchell knows. For a little silver quarter We can have the Pullman porter Turn the lights down low Ooh-ooh-ooh Off we’re gonna shuffle Shuffle off to Buffalo Matrimony is baloney She’ll be wanting alimony in a year or so; Still they go and shuffle, shuffle off to Buffalo. When she knows as much as we know, she’ll be on her way to Reno, While he still has dough; she’ll give him the shuffle When they’re back from Buffalo. I’ll bet that she’s the farmer’s daughter And he’s that well-known traveling man; He once stopped down at the farmhouse, That’s how the whole affair began! He did right by little Nelly, with a shotgun at his bel… tummy, How could he say “No?” He just had to shuffle, shuffle off to Buffalo. You go home and pack my panties I’ll go home and get your scanties And away we’ll go Oooh, ooh, ooh Off we’re gonna shuffle Shuffle off to Buffalo, shuffle off to Buffalo To Niag’ra in a sleeper There’s no honeymoon that’s cheaper And the train goes slow Ooh-ooh-ooh Off, we’re gonna shuffle, Shuffle off to Buffalo Someday, I hope we’ll be elected, To buy a lot of baby clothes, We don’t know when to expect it, But it’s a cinch that Winchell knows. For a little silver quarter We can have the Pullman porter Turn the lights down low Ooh-ooh-ooh Off we’re gonna shuffle Shuffle off to Buffalo Shuffle off, shuffle off, shuffle off to Buffalo
They changed the second half of the Maggie lyrics again in 1981: She was just the farmer's daughter And the salesman made his sale What she got she didn′t order And you can′t return by mail To the chapel nearly got 'im With some buckshot in his bottom How could he say no? (Ooh) He just had to shuffle Shuffle off to Buffalo After that, they changed them to the ones you hear now!
The fact that they’re doing the tap move called a buffalo while they’re singing this is absolute genius
This entire cast is overwhelming with their talent. So amazing!
This is hilarious and much fun. Love it❤

I can't see why they changed the original lyrics.
@@Raggy60 maybe because it had some references from the 30s that people wouldn’t catch onto today, but i don’t think it sounds as good
They changed the second half of the Maggie lyrics again in 1981:
She was just the farmer's daughter
And the salesman made his sale
What she got she didn′t order
And you can′t return by mail
To the chapel nearly got 'im
With some buckshot in his bottom
How could he say no? (Ooh)
He just had to shuffle
Shuffle off to Buffalo
After that, they changed them to the ones you hear now!
Great song and my family is from buffalo 🦬🦬🦬🦬
oh nice staging
😍😍

That is most definitely NOT a 1930's wedding dress.
Missing a bottom. But you can see her dance steps.

Missing a top as well!🫣 Ruby Keeler would never have worn it.
this dress is different from the one the broadway revival had. they probably changed for the choreography.
