I was 16 then, and very fond of this song and Baker street, which was very popular then, that I included both in a selection recording on an 8 track at downtown Cebu sound bar. Zodiac by Roberta Kelly, loves grown deep by Kenny nolan, rock and roll by Shaun cassidy and the list goes on. I like the sound of the 60s, 70s, 80s,and 90s.

Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
    Would it turn out right
    How to tell you girl
I want to build my world around you
    Tell you that it's true
I want to make you understand I'm talkin' about a lifetime plan
That's the way it began, we were hand in hand
Glenn Miller's Band was better than before
We yelled and screamed for more
And the Porter tunes (Night and Day)
Made us dance across the room
    It ended all too soon
And on the way back home I promised you'd never be alone
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old
We'll go dancing in the dark
Walking through the park and reminiscing
Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
    Would it turn out right
Now as the years roll on
Each time we hear our favorite song
    The memories come along
    Older times we're missing
    Spending the hours reminiscing
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old

I also love “Sailing” by Christopher Cross. Almost too painful to listen to bc it reminds me of my sweet youth, my freedom, how the world was so much more peaceful and of course, my parents, who are no longer here.

The Songs of the Seventies, a beautiful era. This band, Chicago, Fleetwood Mac etc, and 70's Soul.

Such an elegant and pure love song. Undoubtedly one of the greatest songs of all time.... thank you so much for helping me reminisce of a better time when music had meaning and a soul

I love going to patio bars sipping on an ice cold brew on a Sunday late afternoon on the Florida Gulf Coast with my wife and two Golden Retrievers and the live band is comprised of 4 musicians in their 70's playing tunes from the 70's. Can it get any better?

We had a 6 year old daughter then. I worked 3-11 in surgical tech while all the time listening to Reminiscing . Now I’m reminiscing yet again! Thanks for the great memories! I miss those days when life was simpler. As I look back in time I realize that I was so blessed I’m now retired at age 68 and we celebrated 50 years together. So very blessed!
