As an educator, consider questioning the policy of defunding public schools ever since desegregation. Also, consider questioning the tax code which funnels funds to schools in certain neighborhoods and not others. Realize that phones and video games are universal-globally, but for some reason this problem only affects kids growing up in historically disc…. neighborhoods in the US. It’s a combination of both your kids are in a school half the day negative socialization and the no child left behind act honestly has screwed teachers it becomes the parents fault when they aren’t willing to discipline their children or punish them for how they’re acting in school.
Just homeschool. Its actually the governments fault. They are the ones dividing the family. Making both parents work outside the home or promoting single homes. So that parents are forced to give there kids up to the reprogramming camps where they make the next gen stupider.
The shcools are failing our children along with these ratchet ass parents. America 🇺🇸 we have to do better. This is the best country in the world and we are not taking advantage of the opportunity and privileges that we have. Get your ish together people.
The best thing to do with your little children, and it's really simple. READ TO YOUR CHILDREN! My mother would read books to each of her 3 daughters every night before bed. We loved the stories so we wanted to read them ourselves. We might not get a toy when we went to the store, but 9 times out of 10 we'd come home with a book. We had books all over the house for every age group. Reading any kind of book makes you smarter.
2 fails here. School and parents. I taught my child to read as much or more than the school. It's the schools job to educate your child but it's your job, as a parent to make sure they are educated.
@PureTruth25 NOT everything is a "skit." Some of you people are so gullible. Everyone knows that Most late Millennials, Gen Z and Alpha CAN'T READ. Their parents failed AND their teachers are TRASH. Stop deflecting. This is no "skit." Take accountability and simply get educated. It's not hard.
Gonna go out on a limb and say dad didn't read to them enough when they were kids, they have multiple TVs around the house and one tiny shelf for books
I played plenty of video games as a kid and did fine in school, only way this happens is when you skip/not pay attention at all in class, but teachers are forced to pass em anyway. Honestly take away the phones, I didn't have my own cell phone until I was 17 years old. I shared one with my mom until 17yo for occasional after school stuff, so there's no way I was going to text anybody on that thing unless it was an emergency. 😂
Poor parenting. Didn't spend time with his sons helping to teach them good study habits so they can benefit from their education. Nah he'd rather blame and embarrass them for his failure. Sorry guys. You deserve better 😢

In a previous skit where they were wearing the exact same outfits, he explained that one was his son and one was his nephew… But a man can have multiple children at the same time come from different wombs.
Teachers time is wasted on disruptive students. I’m a retired teacher and it used to frustrate me to know end. Also parents need to be responsible. They expect teachers to do everything.

@@lasts-m4j Far as I've seen it's a skit. But I do actually have one disagreement with you. If youre a parent you automatically have to be a teacher too. That's part of the job. Whatever it pertains to. At least in my eyes, as a father, if my boys ain't learning, it's on me too. I'm not teaching what I'm suppose to, so that they can succeed in life.
I learned to read English in 6th grade thanks to the most Amazing teacher Mrs. Joseph. I learned by reading the Berenstein Bears. (Yes with an Ein because I learned to read that word in Spanish so I remember it’s EI not Ai.) Anyways I learned to read little by little and excelled through hard work and determination and lots of crying. I was shamed by my peers while others dedicated their time to help me. By high school I was in advanced classes. My senior year I decided to take a regular English literature class rather than the advanced one. That is when I realized that half of my peers in that class didn’t even know how to read. My heart felt heavy that I was one of the lucky ones who learned. I had wonderful teachers and peers who dedicated time to help me learn. I was blessed. I was sorry other peers didn’t have that in their lives. Children need support.
Just by curiosity and memory they should have known what that said. I don't know what's wrong with them either. I was a dreamer when I was younger always looking out the window and still picked it up through osmosis
There’s a better way to discipline and help young people out instead of embarrassing and crucifying them on the internet. I would say the education system has failed most kids when it comes to sufficient learning but parents hold an equal amount of responsibility to make sure those kids are learning what is being taught. Uplift and demonstrate not belittle and insult.
Not to distract anyone from the fact that they still can't read. Also, let's not forget children aren't always with their parents(I am referring to school mostly) so how could it be completely their fault? I do agree they share responsibility though. They definitely needed to check on their kids' reading skills earlier.
@@kurokamireaper3761You have to be your child’s biggest advocate. School teachers bear the responsibility for the entire classroom. The video states that it’s his son and nephew. My biggest issue of the video. The filming and posting to publicly humiliate these two kids. He never showed his face. A true leader gives all the credit to his subordinates when things go well. And take all the blame when they don’t. The words they couldn’t pronounce Reindeer and Pigeon. These two words are taught K-3rd grade. So you certainly put some blame on The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001 was a federal law that significantly reformed the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965. In effect from 2002-2015, it was a major change in US education policy. The NCLB aimed to improve student and school performance by emphasizing accountability, teacher quality, and parental options. It required schools to demonstrate success by measuring all students' academic achievement against state-set standards.
Whats sad is the father publicly humilating them for clout instead of helping the kids learn . Dont rely on public schools to educate your kids , they're goal is to indoctrinate..
I vividly remember when i was a young child my father asked me the same type of question my father was an alcoholic and scary the question he asked me was what does stop spell my brain wouldn't work i couldn't tell him the right answer i was shaking in my boots the sad part is i see the same look in those kids faces breaks my heart
My middle child was non verbal at age 4, when she was diagnosed with Autism. Her mother and I worked very hard to have her reach all her milestones and now at age 23 is able to read and write. We knew that her being able to continue to educate herself would be the best we can do for her.
Wow. This is SOOOO on the family. If these boys have even ONE parent, this shouldn't happen. If they have ONE grandparent...ONE auntie or uncle. No. My mama gave mandatory summer reading, even if the school didn't. Not in my family. I won't even ask if y'all prepped these guys for college, just to embarrass themselves in public like that. Sad.
Correct! It's also what can happen when parents and teachers don't get involved or care. I can promise 90% of the time if the grown ups don't care, the kids definitely won't. Thanks for pulling back the veil to expose the ugly truth.
I read to my brother e’ry day! He was reading on his own by age 3. School thought he was gifted!!! 😂😂 Yeah, I’m the gift! But now he helps out others. Now he’s the gift.
these kids are also probably being abused. its the same face i would make when i felt like i was as about to get hit. also shaming your kids online is a piece of shit thing to do.
Wtf, are you guys for real? It's obviously a joke cause these are both trick questions.. These two are reading it exactly how it's spelt, no? It's not "rain"deer or "pij"on .. Peeps in chat projecting over here, makin' out they're better than everyone else.. For example, I haven't met a single person who was able to read my name properly, that hasn't seen it before, and had it explained to them. The 'ugly truth' here is how keen everyone is to hate on others to feel better about themselves.. (including me, apparently 🫢 how's that for 'ugly truth').
I think it used to be to teachers " YOU PUSH MY CHILD MAKE MY CHILD WORK IF MY CHILD GIVES YOU GRIEF YOU CALL ME ! I WILL FIX IT ! " without school calling CPS on you .
I went to school from the late 60s and graduated in '82. If you got in trouble at school, you got in trouble at home. Parents trusted that teachers really were there to teach, and they were. Parents didn't run up to the school blaming the teachers for their child misbehaving.

I used to teach at a school in Jacksonville, FL., and I had several BLACK boys in the 4th and 5th grade who couldn't READ!! WHEN I approached their main teacher and told her they couldn't READ, she just replied "I KNOW THAT!" I also watched them promote students from 1st grade to 5th grade who couldn't READ WORDS or COUNT NUMBERS, and I was TOTALLY FLABBERGASTED!! EVENTUALLY I RESIGNED AFTER (2) YEARS, because the Principal had ALL of the TEACHERS IN A CLIQUE' and they ALL stuck together! All they talked about was when they were going to retire and get their money, but THEY CARED NOTHING FOR THOSE CHILDRENS FUTURE!! I WAS TREATED HORRIBLY UP TO MY LAST DAY OF RESIGNATION, so I GOT a DEGREE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION FOR NOTHING!! I am now in FINANCIAL DEBT for going to FSCJ in JACKSONVILLE for this video, which I lived through daily!! HOW SAD😱!
Yep, this isn't a new thing at all. I remember in 9th grade a fellow student kept cheating off the smartest girls test paper right in front of the teacher. He took me aside when I made a fuss in order to protect her, the kid was being aggressive about it. The teacher told me, "be careful about what you do and say, he doesn't know how to read." Well, that got me on another tangent, as I feared no one, and questioned how he's in the 9th grade and doesn't even know how to read. This was in the 70's.
My neighbor asked if I could watch his step son until his ex picked him up. They lived in Florida. I told the 10 year old child to put a note on the door that he was next door. He had no idea how to write it. I said just draw an arrow. I felt bad for him.
Why did you care if they could read or not? It's not like they are ever going to read something. The kids who will need to know will learn. Those other teachers knew the score and you didn't.
I can tell you exactly what happened. They were forced into a remedial reading program that punished them for sounding out words and required them to look at pictures for clues and context. I taught my own son phonics and he was fully literate by 5 and this 17 year old sounds like a very early reader that's trying but hasn't mastered phonics.
I mean I graduated earlier this year. I played video games damn there every day for hours on end. I still graduated with a 3.8 gpa. Video games aint the issue just the kids with poor time management 🤷♂️
@@SlickCocoI mean it's the dad's fault really, must have never been concerned with his kid's education AT ALL if he didn't know they can't read Unless it's a skit, which is likely, I blame the parents
Kids don't need to be coddled. When I was 2, my dad gave me a copy of Merriam Webster's Dictionary for my birthday. I read that baby cover to cover every year since then, and it's greatly improved my vernacular. Get your kid a dictionary, then it's on them if they fail.
@ Where did my post say kids need to be coddled? Well I guess your dad cared enough to give you a dictionary…. at 2, when you probably didn’t even know what a dictionary was. Congratulations. But I disagree, maybe you’re the exception, but a parent needs to do a bit more than hand their kid a dictionary and say good luck with life, if you fail, it’s on you.
Yeah, how'd he go 12 and 17 years without knowing that they can't read? Most parents think it's enough to just house and feed their offspring, but there's a lot more to being a parent.
@@Redditor6079Back in the eighties parents gave us dictionaries and encyclopedias to read . That why I was honors English and won the sixth grade spelling bee . I am so thankful my parents made sure I was educated.

Not their fault. The lesbians came up with ‘whole learning’, where they teach the kids by SIGHT. They’re MEMORIZING WORDS! So if they never see it, they can work it out PHONICALLY. This is why WOMEN NEED TO BE HOME & not ‘working’
ABSOLUTELY BLAME THE SCHOOLS!!!! I just tried to help my son with his math homework, he was in grade six last year. He was doing basic written form and multiplication. He had trouble with his multiplication tables, so I tried to break the questions down into simpler terms like I was taught in school. Multiplication and division can be rearranged into addition and subtraction to find the same answers. I found out my 12 year old son did not have a strong grasp of grade 2 math that day. He couldn't do it. The schools rather just push a class through rather than spend any kind of case by case, one on one attention to make sure those kids understand what they need to in order to advance to the next year. Next parent teacher meeting I had, I put it on them. I asked how much they are relying on multiplication table charts in the classroom. There are charts and posters on every surface of the classroom now. Kids are not required to know or understand ANYTHING before advancing to the next grade. Teachers are not required to TEACH. They have a crash course for a curriculum, they run through it, if a kid gets it, good. If they don't, oh well. What do you suppose happens to the kids that get pushed through by the time they get to high school? I would have dropped out in grade 8 if it was me.
That's on you. How do you not know your kid is mathematically illiterate before that age? I know how. You never spent time finding out what's going on in school. You think your job is to just drop your kid off at a school and not be a parent. Investing in your child's education early would have prevented your child not getting the help they needed.
@@tonypayne4829school teaches after 4. when you get taught that young and stop paying attention you lose what little you had. you don’t know that their parents didn’t teach them when they were young.
In this day and age there is no excuse for someone educated in the system to not have basic reading skills. It is the fault of the school, first and foremost, but blame also rests on the parents. How do these two even participate in written tests?
Its not schools fault , its parents fault. And embarrasment is great teacher. Maybee if your parents would have used it with you then you might not be the whiney loser today. Lol
@Cc-bs8ll what are you talking about? The video is of kids being publicly humiliated for not being able to read. Parents and teachers are responsible for teaching kids to read. I don’t understand where the disconnect is.
If my kids said these things, they'd be buying time for gaming by reading to me out loud so I can hear them & teach them the correct words. Literacy is everything... if you can read & comprehend what you read, you can teach yourself to do anything! 😊

Sad but true. As an educator…my sentiments exactly!!!

Fr. His Kid is 17 years old and he’s just now figuring out he can’t read 🤦😂

So have a kid....don't teach them to read..then get mad that they can't read..? This video made me sad
Ain’t nothing funny about this shit at all. I hope you’re not a black man laughing at this.
Ain't shit funny here!
@@tonypayne4829school teaches after 4. when you get taught that young and stop paying attention you lose what little you had. you don’t know that their parents didn’t teach them when they were young.
@@MairDarth pahahahahahaha u 2 karens crying over nothing is fkn hilarious mate
In this day and age there is no excuse for someone educated in the system to not have basic reading skills. It is the fault of the school, first and foremost, but blame also rests on the parents.
How do these two even participate in written tests?
I’m glad my parents never felt the need to publicly humiliate me for the failure of the adults entrusted with my education.
Its not schools fault , its parents fault. And embarrasment is great teacher. Maybee if your parents would have used it with you then you might not be the whiney loser today. Lol
You mean, the parents?
@@Cc-bs8ll partly the parents, sure. But unless they’re homeschooled, the parents are not the sole parties responsible for their education.
@@its_me-nikki are the parents only partly responsible for feeding their kids? Clothing them? Teaching them morals?
@Cc-bs8ll what are you talking about? The video is of kids being publicly humiliated for not being able to read. Parents and teachers are responsible for teaching kids to read. I don’t understand where the disconnect is.
"you probably think it says the same thing..." 😂😂😂
If my kids said these things, they'd be buying time for gaming by reading to me out loud so I can hear them & teach them the correct words. Literacy is everything... if you can read & comprehend what you read, you can teach yourself to do anything! 😊
"You sitting probably thinking the same thing" Both Are Standing Up.🤣
