What a GREAT looking brisket. So glad you like the US Cow Shake. That was one juicy piece of meat. I will have to try the tallow. Also, great to see you cooking it up.
Thanks Uncle Steve!!! The tallow really gives the brisket a ton more flavor, but I honestly would use regular beef tallow next time. Although the Wagyu tallow tasted excellent, it was very rich, so I couldn't eat as much brisket as I wanted at one sitting. LOL And I LOVE all of your Shakes my friend!!! Keep putting out those excellent products and I'll keep using them. Cheers my friend!
I
Have your y
Nobody cooks brisket like mr T !!!
👌😍👌
What's happening Roel? You cook a mean brisket also my friend!!! I'm excited to see your channel has taken off like it has. Good for you brother!!! I appreciate you stopping by and commenting. BTW, I really like your shooting setup with the barn and all. Very nice!!! Cheers to ya bro!
Pro tip, smoke the tallow while you're smoking the brisket. It does make a big difference.
I always save some of the smoked tallow to use for cooking on the stove.
Easily one of my fav people on UA-cam, and there aren’t many folks I like.
Thank you T-Roy.
You’ve help me a lot with these videos, especially the Weber Smokey Mountain ones.
Looks like you had a lot of fun in this cook! Brisket looks💰! Thanks for sharing and keep it up, Mr. T 🍻
Good looking brisket Troy! That's a really cool smoker you used. Have a great weekend and cheers brother!
Hey brother Rus, the brisket should have cooked a bit longer, but it was still very tasty with Uncle Steve's Shake and that beef tallow. I'm definitely doing this cook again!!! I appreciate you watching and hope you have a great weekend also! Cheers brother!!!!
You guys are the best
Love the new grill T-Roy and that brisket looks amazing. I am going to have to try some of that tallow.
That’s one juicy brisket!! Great bark too! Nicely done Troy!
Wow , this looks so delicious! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you soo much for teaching me how to use my WSM in your previous videos, everything I've made on it has turned out amazing
The WSM is my favorite smoker and I'm thrilled that you are enjoying yours also! I recently got a 14 inch WSM and I hope to do some cooks on it very soon. Keep that smoke rollin' bro!!! Cheers!!!!!!!
I legit started salivating when you unrolled that brisket. T-Roy you out done yourself with this one. 😎
Oh hell yeah T-Roy! The tallow gives it a silky smooth texture, that Uncle Steve's rocks brother, Cheers!
Appreciate you showing the somewhat hard to tug portions. Always tried to get it to tug apart or fall apart and can’t seem to nail it quite yet so thanks for sharing.
Always looking good, T-Roy. Love your food videos from south of the border!
Great looking brisket T-Roy!🤘
What's up brother Joe!!!! I appreciate you checking out the video. I actually shot this over a month ago and am just now uploading it! LOL Cheers brother!
Thanks for the great content T-Roy! About to purchase my first Weber Smokey Mountain and I'll be consulting your expertise often. Cheers from Tulsa!
Looks really delicious thank you
Another relaxing video from the Bob Ross of BBQ, always fun to watch and learn from good Ol' T-ROY...cheers 🍖🍻
I appreciate the kind words and thank you for checking out the video. Cheers to ya brother!
Love me some T-ROY, always excited to see new vids!
My favorite brisket video. Got to have fun cooking brisket. I use beef tallow as well.
Nice Video Footage ! Thank you so much for sharing my friend ! God bless you ! Watching from the Philippines
Just made my 1st Brisket last week! It turned out surprising well. Would love to try your technique next time!
That's exciting to hear! I'm proud of ya and I'm sure you'll just keep getting better cooking brisket the more you cook it. Just remember, each brisket is different, so if you get one that turns out tough, don't let it get you down. Keep that smoke rollin' bro!!! Cheers!
Hello TRoy! Glad to see you back.
Great cook. Thank you for sharing. My gosh, it will be a while before I buy a brisket. Last one I looked at was over a hundred bucks.
Stay well brother.
God bless all here.
Great video, Troy! I like the look of that smoker. I will have to check into that.
Love the videos and nothing better than grilling and chilling with a Busch!!
You got that right!!! Cheers to ya!
Awesome brisket Troy, And a fine video, I've not done a brisket yet, but beef tallow will used when I do. Thanks. Until next time. 😎👍
Another great cook as usual. I've tried the beef tallow on my last 2 briskets and I agree it does make the beef more tender and juicier. It also seems to reheat better as well as far as staying tender longer. Great job T-Roy!
thats right.. layers o' flavors.. I have that tub'o'tall and need to try it.
Excellent cook T-Roy! Always need to check in here for new ideas. Thank you, sir.
Thanks very much!!! I see you are about to hit 20k subs on your channel. Good for you bro!!! Keep up the great videos!
@@TROYCOOKS Thanks man! My channel is growing low and slow. But getting there.
Loved your grilling. Thanks 4 sharing.
Meat looks awesome.
Thanks very much Janice! I appreciate you checking out the video. Have a great weekend!
That looked delicious 😋 nice job
T-Roy!!! Been a while, brotha! You look fantastic by the way... Glad to see you pop up on my feed again!
Thanks Graham, I appreciate you watching and supporting the channel. Hope you have a great weekend! Cheers!
Looks awesome!! I need to try the beef tallow trick
That Wagyu Beef Tallow is a must have for sure!! It's great to use with many things.
If anybody hasn't used it yet, I promise you will not regret it.
Cheers T-Roy on that Beautiful Brisket!! 🍺
Thanks very much brother!!! I agree, the brisket is juicier and a lot more flavorful with the tallow. Cheers to ya!
Troy, Brisket and Friday night. Yep, gonna be and awesome weekend. Cheers brother.
Troy, that was a excellent cook my.. great job.
Wow!!! Great cook!!! Great bark!!! Incredibly juicy!!!!
I have been wanting to try that for a while! Great cook Buddy
Hey Joe, I appreciate you stopping by my friend. The tallow does add a ton of flavor to the brisket, but I think I'd honestly prefer regular beef tallow instead of the Wagyu. The Wagyu was too rich tasting IMO, but man it was good!
Interesting timing for this video, I've got an 18lbs packer on the WSM right now trying this tallow trick for the first time. It's been on for 5 hours now. Will let you know!!!!
I'm sure you'll love the beef tallow brisket. It was delicious, but it was slightly rich because of the wagyu tallow. I'm thinking of doing this again using regular beef tallow so it isn't too rich tasting. Still yummy though!!! Keep that smoke rolling brother!!! Cheers!
Loving your videos, they make me hungry but I learn a lot. My family tells me I am getting really good on the grills
Thanks for the support Peter and I'm excited that your family is loving your cooking. Keep up the great work brother! Cheers!!!!
Keep it up T-Roy! Love the vid as always
Thanks and I appreciate the support!!! Cheers!!!
Guys you can render your own tallow from the fat you trim off of your brisket.
Put it in a sauce pan on med low heat then reduce to lowest setting until liquified. Note, all fat wont render just strain off the tallow. Don’t burn it.
It will also keep in the fridge just fine. Good luck and God bless
Fantastic T-Roy you always put out such great videos. Keep up the great work brother. Cheers to ya 🍺
Like your comment, I'm on beer number ? and counting, best BBQ videos for a fact! 🍻
Thanks very much!!! I truly appreciate the support brother and you're about ready to reach 500 subs yourself!!! Fantastic! Keep that smoke rollin' brother and Cheers to ya!
Looks delicious! Cheers my friend!
Thanks Ben and cheers back to ya brother!!!!
Welcome back stranger, glad to see you uploading 🙂🍻
Thanks, I'm gonna attempt to upload more often. I've been enjoying having some time off for family recently! Cheers to ya!!!
@@TROYCOOKS well family should always come first. Can't wait to see what you cook up next :) Cheers mate
Good seeing you brother keep up the great work
Yes sir that intro song is mighty fine. Mighty fine indeed.
Awesome brisket, Troy! That cutting board is so pretty...
Thanks, it was some mighty fine eating! My buddy Alex at Pork Belly Wood Works on Facebook makes my cutting boards and he does do great work. His link is in the description if you're interested in getting one made!
The restraint you used when cutting the brisket and not snagging a couple bites was amazing!
I can remember when my mother used to fry chicken in tallow, nothing else like it.
Yep, tallow is good stuff!!! I appreciate you watching Steven!!!!
Hello Troy. Uncle Steve sure makes a great product. Looking good Troy, glad to see you back. Take care.
Yep, I love all of Uncle Steve's shakes. I appreciate you stopping by and commenting! Cheers to ya bro!
Mighty fine looking brisket. Cheers, T-Roy! ✌️
Howdy Dwayne!!!! Great to hear from you again! I appreciate you watching and Cheers back to ya!!!!
That beef tallow is really good stuff, I use it on my burger meat too and it always comes out great 👍🏼
This is why I separate the point and flat before wrapping. Sometimes they indeed cook like the two separate muscles they are and run at different times. Still looks good though.
I respect a man who knows the goodness of Wagyu! hahaha
That’s some fine dining right there Troy! Great cook! Cheers y’all!
Cheers to ya Jay!!! Thanks brother!
I love your videos so much! I’m smoking a brisket for the first time today on my Weber kettle and I’m excited and nervous at the same time, because it isn’t a cheap meat… lol. I’ve been watching a ton of your videos to pass the time and hype myself up.
Do you have any suggestions for what to do with the leftovers? I’d love to see a video of different things to do with them, how to reheat, et cetera. Much love from up here in Fort Worth, always looking forward to your latest and greatest!
great stuff as always from TROY.
Great cook Troy! The GrOven looks like a sweet grill😊
Thanks Bobbi!!! I love cooking on the GrOven. It has lots of room and gives the meat a unique smoked flavor. Also, it's almost a "set it and forget it" type smoker other than having to add a log every hour or so! LOL I appreciate you watching! Wishing you a fantastic week coming up! Cheers!!!!
looking good t roy killer show sounds like a great recipe
Very, very responsible 👍
Great to see you back brother! Brisket looks really good. Me? I'm still lazy and only do the hot-n-fast... but everyone seems to think it's really good. Cheers to ya!!
Ain't nothing wrong with a hot & fast brisket Mark. The low & slow seems to allow the fat to render out better, but either way is some mighty fine eats!!! Keep that smoke rollin' bro!!! Cheers to ya!
T-Roy you really slimmed down ! Good job
Looking good Troy. Good to see you. ✌🤟🖖
Hi T'Roy so good to see you. I watched this video, the briscit look delicious. I miss you. I started watching more of your past videos from 2 years ago and watched the one with you celebrating your Grandma MaMa Jean's 93rd birthday. Cooking together(tomato gravy. I could feel the love. Praying she is doing well.😊✝️🙏
Hi Juanita, thank you very much for the kind words and thanks for checking out my older videos. I have some great cooks that I did. Sometimes I go back and watch some of those older recipes just so I can remember how I made it! LOL Unfortunately, Mama Jean passed away in late 2019 just after her 94th birthday. I'd say she's doing very well in Heaven now. I pray you and your family are all doing well in these crazy times!!! Much love to ya!
Good looking brisket! Been a while since I've seen a video. Gotta say you're looking healthy/good mate. 👌👍
I like using beef tallow - I do believe it adds something to briskets. Love the hat
Hey brother this brisket didnt look to bad! Love seeing you here!
nice looking brisket brother. i stopped using tallow about 16 years ago. like the grill.
T-Roy!!!! Looking slim and trim brother. Keep up the good work my friend. Love to you and Karen.
Looks great T-Roy
Thanks Jeffrey!!! I appreciate you watching brother and Cheers to ya!
Brisket looked great Troy, the point was "on point" ;-)
Looks good
Great looking brisket Troy! 👌🤤 YUMM! Uncle Steve has some Great Rubs!👍 The Competition Cow Shake is one of my favorites. I was curious to see how the pork butt turned out too.😁 Now you got me wanting to smoke a brisket LOL! 😂 Have a great weekend, Love Ya! Cheers Bro!🍻🍻👍🔥😎
Thanks Sean!!! Yeah, Uncle Steve has it going on with his rubs! Great stuff!!!! Get your brisket on brother!!! Good stuff! I figured I'd leave in the video part where I show the pork butt so y'all could see what it looked like. I actually pulled it and froze most of it to give to Mom. She loved it! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and cheers to ya brother!!!! Love you too!!!!!
BEAUTY !!!
My dad passed away 9 years ago, I inherited his smoker. And it has just been sitting. It was something he was very proud of buying just before he passed (I believe a webber offset is what it is called?)
Anyhow I bought a brisket that has been sitting in my deep freezer for several months. I have finally gotten brave enough and got it out and it is thawing in a cooler. I have been following you for a few years trying to get up the courage to try and smoke something, just reviewed a few of your old videos on fire management and how to use that darn charcoal chimney that I have yet to figure out (I also got his charcoal grill that I have failed to use bc I can't get charcoal to light), but I'm going to go for it this weekend. I don't have all the fancy thermometers and stuff you have, but your videos have given me the courage to try.
There is only one video I'm looking for before I start and that is how to clean it. It has been sitting for 9 years and also when I got it just after my dad passed we found old hot dogs in it.... (assuming he had put them in there to stay warm for grandkids at the last cook out we had). It doesn't look dirty, actually looks new, but for peace of mind I would like to know how to clean it.... just a idea for a future video.
Also I have seen people put foil pans under the grates to catch the drippings, what are your opinions on that?
Hey Chellee, sounds like you have a promising cooker there!!! And it has memories of past cooks with the family which is awesome! Honestly, I'd just hose it out with a water hose to get the gunk out of it and fire it up to dry out the moisture. Then I'd reseason the inside and out with Pam spray or something similar and let it burn off. Then you'll be good to go with a fresh cook on it. Don't scrape all of that good seasoning from the inside of the pit. That actually adds flavor to the meat. And yes, the foil pans will help with clean up after the cook!!!! Much love to you and your family and I appreciate you watching!!!!
Thank you. I got the brisket on early this morning. I'm about 4 hours in, had a few major temp fluctuations, and smoke problems, but I think I'm finally getting it. I definitely need to figure out temp control, and get the feel for when and how much wood to add.
Forgot to say I'm having so much fun that I just realized I have 2 pork butts in the freezer I can try to smoke later this week.... It's a good thing I have 8 kids to feed.
Very nice Troy!!! You are looking terrific!!! I am doing TWO tri tips this weekend. ONE Santa Maria style, the other using Kosmo's Cow Cover.
Excellent!!! Kosmo makes some terrific rubs too!!! I know that'll be some mighty fine eating! Have fun and keep that smoke rollin' brother!!!! Cheers!!!!
Now I want to smoke a brisket soon. This video made me very hungry. God Bless. Stay Safe Y'all
Hey Sapo, great to hear from you brother!!!! All is good on my end and I pray all is well on your end as well. Brisket is great anytime of the year! I know you cook a mean brisket and I look forward to seeing the video. Keep that smoke rollin' brother!!! Much love to ya!
I’m curious to try a hot and fast brisket after injecting the tallow into a choice cut to see how that works out.
I must of missed a video or two. What happened to the lone star grills smoker? Was thinking of purchasing my first offset with Lonestar. Great cook as always. Need to get me some tallow.
Great video! Been waiting for way too long for a new video. Hope all is well sir! 🍻
Yep, all is going well on my end Shawn. I've been taking it easy enjoying time with family and friends. Hope you and the family are all doing well also!!! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! Cheers to ya!!!!
Boy Oh Boy did that Brisket Look AMAZING!!! 1st time I've seen that smoker (I dont need a new one but Wow was that one interesting!) Like the cutting board as well. Great video (as usual lol)
Yep, that was a tasty brisket for sure! The beef tallow really added a lot of flavor. I've probably done 7 or 8 cooks on that GrOven and I've created a playlist just for those cooks if you wanna see more of it. It's probably my favorite cooker to cook on nowadays, but I'll always love my WSM! LOL I put a link in the description for Pork Belly Wood Works who makes my cutting boards if you're interested. He does fantastic work and you can customize the wood choices for the board he makes you. Cheers!!!
@@TROYCOOKS Thank you!
Definitely gonna try this! Just order some Cow Shake.
You won't be disappointed!!!! Cheers!
Great video, but I can never get the bark on a brisket. And that was at 175, amazing. All the best.
I have adopted a waste not want not habit. There isn't any need to buy tallow when you can just save the drippings and fat trimmings and make your own. I rendered my trimmings in the offset so they got smoked. You might want to do it in a container that is easy to clean like stainless. It is just as good as bacon grease.
Nice 👍🏻 TROY!
Hey T Roy, maybe with the left over tallow you could try waygu braised chuck burnt ends?
Anyway keep up the great vids🙂
Jeremy Yoda started a tallow craze. MCDONALDS used to cook fries 🍟in tallow. They taste great them then.
Yum!
Troy, you lookin good man. brisket and rub too. I have not liked my brisket as much if I add the tallow because i mess up the bark. CHEERS!
Thanks for watching Andy!!! Cheers to ya brother!!!
Looks abosoluteley fantastic and i bet it was gooood!
Hope all is good over there in Texas Brother!
Kjetil
Hey Kjetil, all is great here brother!!! Hope all is well on your end as well. This brisket was amazing with the Wagyu tallow!!!! Cheers to ya my brother!!!
Nice one mate
Man that looks good T-Roy ! I’m going to have to try that tallow ...I bet Rusty would love it too ! lol
What's happening Stu!!! Great to see you commenting my friend! Yeah, Rusty would eat that entire brisket. You'll have to give it a try and send me some pics!!! LOL Cheers to ya!
Man these videos make me so hungry
Great job on that brisket Troy looks like I’m a little late for dinner hope your having a great weekend
Hey Jared, I appreciate you watching brother!!!! All is great on my end and I hope that you guys are doing well also! Cheers to ya!
Hope one day soon we can hangout again and cook some comfort food
Dang bro. Good job.
I would also love to hear the history of the pan you had the brisket resting in. It looks like it’s seen some cooks! 😂😂
Yep, that is a Wilton sheet cake pan my mom gave to me probably 30 yrs ago.
Looking good T-Roy! If you've been trying to get fitter it's certainly showing! 💪
Brisket looked mighty fine too, enjoy it brother.
Do you have any other videos on that smoker, seems weird not seeing you cook on the WSM haha.
Thanks very much! I've just been eating right and rarely eat out anymore. I do have a playlist for the GrOven cooks and I think I have 7 videos I've done on it. Oh, I recently purchased a 14 inch WSM that I will be cooking more on in the near future!!! I appreciate you watching and Cheers to ya!
my mouths watering
Looking good brother
Thanks very much!!! I feel fantastic and life is great!
Good looking brisket Troy. Man you have lost some weight, looking good brother! Cheers 🍻
Yep, I've lost a few pounds over the summer and I'm enjoying life. Hope you are also doing well Mitch!! Thanks for the support over the years brother!!!! Cheers back to ya!
