When I was 4, Johnnie was my hero. On March 23rd 1959, my dad gave me a roll-cap rifle with the Rifleman loop lever action. My favorite show right through my parent's early divorce. I found much comfort in that show and imagined Johnny was suffering like me but carried on. So did I.
I was one of the Associate Producer’s on Johnny Crawford’s last movie !!! Bill Tilghman and the Outlaws.. Got to work on set with him, had lunch and dinner with him, and man what a man he was !!
He was a good friend from Hollywood High School. Our mutual love of horses started our friendship, He first came over and spoke to me as I was sitting alone at lunchtime drawing horses and we became fast friends. A quiet polite and somewhat shy guy! I had a chance to be in the original Mickey Mouse Club , but my father A well known concert tenor and voice coach who did a lot of work with recording stars ,records , tv & movies forbade my brother & I to become part of the industry. I treasure Johnny’s friendship and am happy he found a wonderful wife to live out his life with.
I had no idea of how versatile Johnny was and what his background really was. He lived and exemplary life and never let fame destroy him! May he Rest in Peace!
You know it really bothers me when people say he loses his battle with any disease that he may have do you really think that he lost his battle do you think that maybe he fought so he could live the spirit of a human to live and fight❤ I hate it when people say that he lost his battle I think it takes more courage to fight it then to lose it❤ something to think about people people battle with all kinds of things in life and you're not a loser you're a winner🎉🎉🎉🎉
These days I think john̈ny Crawford is the most influential figurehead of what's the best examples of a childhood actor!!!!" RIP JOHNNY CRAWFORD!!!!!"😮😅
Although you didn't mention it directly, when Johnny was only 12 and 13 on the Rifleman, he was a first rate horseman. He really knew his way around horses, and how to ride one. If you've never been around horses, you don't know the kind of skill and knowledge it takes, it's like a world of its own
Click bait. Title is misleading. "Loses Final Battle". Really??? This guy had an absolutely wonderful life. Born into a loving family; had an exemplary multifaceted career; no horrible divorces or drug problems; lived to a decently old age. Hey. Everybody dies and eventually "loses their final battle".
I don't understand why this channel is reporting Johnny Crawford's death as if it has happened recently. He died nearly three & a half years ago from Alzheimers disease
I remember him as a Mouskateer. I LOVED him and Cubby O'Brian. Alzheimer's is hideous. His death was probably a blessing. Over all it sounds like his life was good and I'm glad of that.
He would make me laugh and he would have me gripping my chair. I couldn't wait till he got his first rifle. I liked all the episodes of Rìfle man because he was the star.
My friend said in Canada, you can't have a handgun! WHEN he visited he remarked, this is how they started taking our rights in Canada. He was here for a week, took him to a gun show,he was amazed!
3 years ago was not that long ago. Why don't you keep scrolling. Most people don't know much about him. He was a quiet person and stayed out of the lime life. I'm glad he did. Hollywood destroys a person.
Yeah, you are right, willkamfuller2389, it’s not really news. It is nice to see him gain a bit more notice. This article does give even more folks a chance to add their best wishes to the memory of Johnny.
Yeah, a tad late for sure. Still…… it does give Johnny a chance to shine for the work he did. It’s also a chance to join others as we offer up RIPs to Johnny’s memory; no harm in that.
So the time frame on this video is 3 weeks ago he died on April 29th 2021 that's over 3 years ago so why are they put it on now. And the picture that you're using is not Johnny Crawford
Why use a picture of Johnny on his deathbed hooked up to breathing tubes and such for all the world to see. Was that necessary. Whoever made the decision to use that graphic is perverse and twisted. And my guess is will meet his death process in a less than desirable way himself. What goes around comes around.
I enjoyed Johnny Crawford's roles on TV for decades. I still watch The Rifleman. Please stop saying "All-Timers." Alzheimer's does not have a "T" in it. How can it ever be cured if you can't even pronounce it correctly.
I enjoyed watching him on The Rifleman. Great actor! Rest in peace, Johnny.

Why is this breaking news? He died over 3 years ago. This was breaking news then.
It's called monetary gain. Every click to their channel more money for individuals, what a despicable individual piece of human excrement to do this.
I loved to watch one of his characters as Alfalfa. It was a great program.
