Thank you for always watching.
Thank you very much for this explanation..... I often times stay away from beads , pearls and sequins.....for this reason..... watching your videos gives me confidence that with practice on bargain gowns ( like flea market/ yard sale gowns ).....I may be able to do it for customers.... thank you again... !
Thank you for this! It’s so timely and very well explained. It answered nearly every question I had about beaded dresses, plus some I didn’t know I should have.
Awesome!! That's my goal!

Brenda - (I don't want to start a bridal business,) BUT I learn SO MUCH from your videos that I use in projects for friends and family - and I really enjoy the teaching content you share from your bridal business!

Did you click the "join" button next to my channel name? Which country do you live in? Some countries may not allow you to join? I'm not sure.
You may could try a help article too. That's sad you can't get in. I really appreciate you.
Does that glue dry hard? I am a wedding gown seamstress and trying to find a quicker way to hem beaded gowns rather then back beading dresses. I just finished one that took me 20 hrs of beadwork alone! I got to get faster some how and maybe this is the way.
I'd describe it as semi-hard. I've used it professionally for over 15 years.
@@BridalSewing thank you! I’m going to buy this and try it! It will be such a timesaver.
I usually just sew right on top of beads sequins. But a gown I just did I did hand sew it because I broke too many needles
I will use Fabri-tac to secure beads on the excess of the hems.
On gowns with deep scallops I will sometimes allow the excess hem to “fill in” the cuts. And then just tack them to edges of the scallops.
On sides of gowns I just tack where the beads “pull” then lay the seam open and press with steam covering the beaded fabric with muslin
If the trim is part of the gown I “make it a trim” by cutting seamage and taking under
Also with these gowns it’s so easy to catch a thread and rattle off a whole row of beads or sequins (I just did this....sigh...)
So I cut a piece of beaded fabric from the excess of the hem and matched it to the gown and glued it on tacking at the ends
You couldn’t tell unless I told you.
And during prom this is a real time saver
I think we share so many of these shortcuts! 🤗❤️
@@BridalSewing Amen!!
Brenda, what do you charge for a hem like this but for a prom dress?
Sheath style.
$75
Is there a reason you dont crush or smash the beads? I was taught by several people in couture bridal to actually take a hammer to the beads to crush and remove them so as not to open the threads and lose beads.
Due to safety, I avoid that. I find it only necessary when the beadwork is more dense than this.
@@BridalSewingThat makes sense. Thanks for the reply!
Where are you purchasing your light weight stitch witch fusion
Ha! Usually Walmart! 😂😂
I don’t have a machine that is able to sew over beads
I usually just sew everything back on by hand
What is the machine maker and how can I get one?
Mine can't either! :) It's just my settings for appliqué stitching. Search "Applique @BridalSewing" & you'll see all of my videos on it. Also- see my video that I linked to in description that shows how to do it on 4 different machines.
where is your tutorial for free stitching?
Go to my channel homepage, click on playlists, then find my free motion/applique playlist.
Fantastic video!! Could you send the link to free motion stitching options please? I didn’t see it in the details. 🙂
I found it! 🤣🤣
@@maggiehallinan1771 I still don't see it, where is it?
