My One and Only Love" is a popular song with music written by Guy Wood and lyrics by . The song was published in 1952.
Cover versionsDoris Day and Andre Previn included the song in their 1962 Duet album. A very popular version appeared on the 1963 classic jazz album and Johnny Hartman, and was later featured on the compilation album Coltrane for Lovers in 2001.
In 1991, saxophonist Gerald Albright covered the song from his album "Live at Birdland West."
Pianist Joe Sample recorded an instrumental version of this song on his 1993 album Invitation.
Another version of this song can be heard in the Leaving Las Vegas movie soundtrack, sung by Sting.
Other versions include , , , Magni Wentzel with Einar Iversen, trumpet, Endre Iversen, piano, Tor Braun, guitar, Erik Amundsen bass (Recorded on May 2, 1960 and released on the single Odeon ND 7373), Nancy Wilson, Rickie Lee Jones, Sonny Rollins, Jamie Cullum, Chris Botti featuring Paula Cole on vocals, and Mark Isham and Kate Ceberano on their album of duets Bittersweet (2009), Sophie Milman (released on the album Take Love Easy, 2009).

What a beautiful end of summer Tuesday here in Modesto,CA. Alone by myself, meditation time again folks, playing any sort of song my heart desires...and it led me back to this song. Praying to God almighty that He right the wrongs I've done to both of you, and to others. Father in Heaven I'm deeply deeply sorry but how wrong is it to be in love with "the love of your life" even when it seems...?

Absolutely superb. Can not stand it when too much improvisation makes the original melody unrecognizable. Those who composed the great standards were creative geniuses. What they came up does not require any "improving". The idea is to interpret faithfully and sensitively. Well done.

A very beautiful rendition......you did not mention Sinatra in your list of covers. I was introduced to this very beautiful tune by his version of it. I think he recorded it in the late fifties in a Nelson Riddle arrangement.

You're playing is absolutely incredible it suspends time and place and transports me to somewhere that touches my soul. Do you have any of the sheet music for these compositions available for purchase
it is improvised. you can find the melody and chord symbols in any real jazz book but to play it like this you'd have to learn scales, harmony, all the chord voicings and comping, etc.. which is the longest route. the shortest way would be just to copy everything you're hearing and seeing in the video and on the midi piano.
