Xtant Audio I have been working nonstop on a kontakt library since I watched this video. Still much to learn but I have one question in particular. Regardless of how cpu heavy this may be and provided the user has a decent graphics card, I would like to know if its possible to add a gif or any type of moving background as the UI skin and also the library wallpaper. Hey if I'm going to do this I might as well push as many limits as possible. -Ed
It's not possible to animate a background directly but you can use labels and a while loop to create an animation. There is some info about this on the vi-control Kontakt forum.
Thanks for these videos! They help a lot. I've been looking through your channel but I can't seem to find the follow-up to this lesson, I'm a beginner at Kontakt but would love to learn more about how to make knobs (your explanation actually taught me how to use the Knobman software a lot easier even if you didn't get too deep into it).The playlist isn't really clear about the follow up tutorials and the ones I found after essentially went into extremely complex stuff which, while appreciated, is beyond me at this point! haha. thanks again for doing these videos! Hi Mathew thanks for you comment. Please have a look in the video description to find a link to purchase the all of my premium Kontakt scripting tutorials of which this video is a example.
Oh I should have looked at that. OK! Well thank you! It's a good series, I'm short on money right now so I can't order anything at the moment, though I am seriously interested.
You'd need to add the controls to your interface script and connect them to the arp using pgs variables. Or you could just add the arp as a separate tab by making the script slot perf_view.
Xtant Audio oh maybe i am biting of more than i can chew with this one because i barely understand what your saying on that one. where is the interface scripting tab. or do i use a empty tab to start a new one?
@@eross21 It's difficult to explain it properly in a UA-cam comment. If you really want to get into KSP hop on VI-Control and check out the KSP scripting manual that comes with Kontakt. Basically when you open the script editor you have 5 separate tabs, each one can load a separate script and each script can be added to the front interface (as a separate tab) by setting it to be a performance view.
Thanks for sharing David. Very generous of you! Love your Thinkspace Education course as well!
A big thank you to you. Wish I had seen your videos before, however, great !
Incredible teaching abilities. You should open a school specifically for this niche of ui design.
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, nice looking UI.
Great video, informative and on point.
Hi! How do you drag the knob out of KnobMan to quicly see how it looks outside the KnobMan program? Thanx
I can't remember, it's been a long time since I used it. I think you can just click on it and drag it out but I'm not sure.
how do you insert the final work into the script
This is shown in the other videos in the lesson. Check out the video description to find out more.
Xtant Audio Well, part 4 of your very nice GUI series appears to be missing. Where can I find it? Thanks.
Check the video description for the link to the rest of the series.
Xtant Audio Ah yes, I missed the paid content part. Fair enough :)
Was the rackmount border/background made in photoshop?
dry helpful videos, one question. how would do you integrate step sequencer, arpeggiator into the user interface?

hahah sorry I didn’t mean to say “dry” it was supposed to be “very” helpful videos. you win this round spellcheck.
