Presenting you a Journey from the last point of southern India KANNIYAKUMARI to the Holy place of KATRA in Jammu & Kashmir in the legendary HIMSAGAR EXPRESS covering a total distance of 3789 kms
This is the 3rd Part of the marathon journey where you will see the journey from Renigunta to Warangal via Vijayawada

16:43 The two locosheds in this line, BZA and VSKP have WAG 5 locos in large numbers left (42 and 68 respectively). So it is common to see WAG 5 locos attached to whatever the availability is across this region. In fact, in and around VSKP, I have seen instances of fully loaded freight trains (iron ore) being hauled by triplets of WAG 5 locos.
I think only a few locosheds have WAG 5 locos left in large quantities, mainly Bhusaval, Jhansi, Ratlam, and New Katni. So WAG 5 in service is not that widespread.

32:15 I think you are passing the "bulb curve" in Vijayawada. In the olden days, part of the routes were Meter gauge, and Meter Gauge coaches had asymmetric couplers and needed to be in a particular orientation to be attached to each other. So a bulb curve was developed to bring the coaches to the same orientation with respect to the engine. After the lines were converted to broad gauge, the curve began to be used for moving freight rakes in and out of the yard. At least, that was my theory about the bulb curve.

Fantastic journey Bhai I loved the stations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana I think Thirukkural Express should have given 1st priority since it doesn't have long route like Himsagar express where it started from Kanyakumari then moving to Trivandrum line in Nagercoil Junction later entering in Tamil Nadu through Palakkad line whereas Thirukkural express joins Tirunelveli line from Nagercoil Junction then halting at Gudur for 30-40 minutes by allowing Himsagar to overtake then Himsagar got to face the same in Chirala by allowing Thirukkural to overtake such a pathetic schedule by IR it needs to be sorted out
