On Sunday, March 20, we will celebrate World Rewilding Day 2022!
A day to raise awareness, at a moment in time when the need for nature and the wide range of benefits it provides has never been greater. Recovering nature to full health and functionality can mitigate scale and impact of global warming, enhance biodiversity, and create new sources of sustainable revenue for communities.
In the week leading up to #WorldRewildingDay, our amazing local teams across Europe each show you how they are working in their rewilding landscapes to support nature recovery and tell you why they rewild.
We are eager to kick off with a message from Rewilding Oder Delta, telling us about their river restoration efforts and wildlife comeback in this unique region between Germany and Poland.

Nothing new. I have filmed a herd of 200 wisents and more than 400 couples of white tailed eagles years ago on the Polish side of the lagoon. But the Polish have left your programme. Stop lying!
