Just wait till Walmart does some shit like "swipe your card to unlock the cart". people would be walking around walmart cartless all because their card got declined.

Dutch guy here, I'm also kinda surprised the US didn't use those for the longest time. We've had them that way for as long as i can remember.
I always kinda saw it as a small deposit, You pay a little to use it, But you get it back if you return it.
I've wondered why the US didn't do it that way ever since i found out that it was (or still is) a bit of a problem with people just leaving shopping carts all over the parking lot.

19:12 Nogla brings up that social media is creating bad moms, in a similar number to the amount of bad fathers. i think it's not creating bad mothers, but bringing them to the light. It's showing off all of the toxic, negative traits in these parents that you probably wouldn't ever see, but the children see every day.

Idk if social media itself has caused bad moms, I think the bad moms just got away with it more because everyone was predisposed to thinking that the men had to be the bad ones in the relationship, and if the mom was acting bad it was the dad's fault.

    • @V_______

I mostly agree. Social media has sparked an overall general acceptance of terrible behavior. There are new things coming out every week that should be illegal to even be on social media for people under 14-16. But I would say that; while social media has done an amazing job showcasing “boys being boys” and all of the ridiculously stupid shit we do. It has also created more things that a lot of women, be it the vocal minority or some type of majority, partake in that wasn’t being done before. Most notably the more recent “call to abort black men’s babies” It’s also given a platform to women who agree with patriarcal views, that otherwise has no way to voice their opinions to any type of audience.
Basically what I’m saying is, while social media has generally showcased how dumb humans in general can be, it certainly feels like there’s a lot more women choosing to do fucked up things then before, then there are men doing it. At the end of the day, even most men accept the fact that “men don’t grow up, their toys do.” Any man who doesn’t agree doesn’t love himself.

Agreed. Narcissistic mom's have always existed. But now instead of demanding certain behaviors at church or the store or in front of relatives... they do it with social media.
Just gave them more opportunities and tools to showcase their POS morals.
I knew several narc mom's as a kid before social media. Their behavior didn't really change except they found more of each other online and together have decided their crazy parenting choices are acceptable/normal.

13:02 The sad and ironic thing about John Dunsworth when he passed away, it was due to a illness called TTP (thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura), which is a rare, life-threatening blood disorder that can cause small blood clots in small arteries around the body, particularly in vital organs of a person.
I say all this because (if I’m not mistaken) his liver was impacted the most and eventually was what led to him passing away.
And it’s ironic that he didn’t drink irl, but did playing a role (not literally with alcohol of course), but in most cases when a person dies from alcohol poisoning or anything involving it, their Liver/Kidney’s are the first to be affected.

At a Safeway in my town, They had that lock mechanism system set up but the company they hired did it poorly in that it didn’t cover the full parking lot and the wheels locked about a fourth into the parking lot from the store.

We do the coin cart thing here in Canada, too. People kept stealing carts, and they cost too much to keep replacing them. People still kept stealing them, so a lot of places have this magnetic lock that activates, locking the wheels when it's taken out of a certain range. I mean, there's still ways around it, and people still keep stealing carts. Like, even Wal-Mart has $1 carts, here.
