Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through UA-cam videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Mate, never be apologetic about communicating your ideas/thoughts. I think that's a way of finding links/understanding from total strangers. As you said, if people prefer to, they can always skip ahead.😊 But yes, I was really engrossed in what you were saying - it came pouring out of you - which was rather exhilarating👍

Gumtree is basically Craigslist in some commonwealth countries like the UK, Australia, New Zealand ect (Randy is Australian btw)
I highly recommend the full show, this is just a part of it.
It is very likely that a person like Morgan exists, someone who has gone through similar events and probably with a similar outcome.
If you message someone without even using a simple punctuation then something must be wrong with you. 😂😂😂

The man made no separation between sentences.
That would actually be UNREADABLE to some people.
My god, the amount of time & effort it can take with some sentences, all for want of their lazy ass not puting in a fucking couple of commas.
I spell everything out properly, in emails and text messages. Why? I was raised by a schoolteacher mother. I was taught to communicate properly and use good grammar. And now my mom's retired and I will talk to her and correct her grammar (the way she used to do to me as a kid), and it ticks her off to no end.

You have to check out everything to do with Randy Feltface. The old stuff and the new. On Monday his new show will be available on youtube. Can't wait. I love his collaborations with Sammy J as well as his solo stuff, but this show - I think - is his best work.

Randy has been around for decades. He even had a TV series "Rickets Lane". I got to see Rants last year in Seattle. You really have to watch a whole show to understand where tit all comes from. He just finished a new stand up 2 months ago. It's on youtube with all his other shows.

7:30 aH shet I"m a '93 kid too. And yeah, I do getcha, though I don't think I've ever thought about it in that way. Where the standard is set based on surroundings - and the generations after us has been surrounded by millions of expectant eyes instead of drip-fed. It's really interesting.
19:40 So maybe if it was just the 0 punctuation in a thesis-length text message, it would be fine, whatever, dude just doesn't like hitting the special key to switch keyboards. lol But it's also the first message back being "It was my wife's bookshelf" like he was seeking therapy, like you said. And then the "y" in which you have to guess what he means. "Why?" or "Yes" which is totally a real shortcut that people mix up all the time. I think the insanity of Morgan text-wise is how it /builds/.

Randy Feltface is my favourite comedian. He's not just hilarious but really smart, and while I don't always agree with every observation or opinion, you always walk away from a show with sore stomach muscles and a lot to think about. You should watch this whole show if you ever get the the chance, or any of his full shows. Thanks Connor, great reaction. ❤

Yeah his puppeteering is amazing. you get caught up so much in the story, because the puppeteering doesn't pull you out, to the point it no longer even matters that he is a puppet. You simply there for the ride.

I feel the text preference is really a generational thing. Most of us Gen X/Elder Millennials were mostly through school when texting became a regular thing and had writing/grammar shoved down our thoughts. I know I'm generalizing here but that's my thought.
Just in case you don't know in the UK, Randy is the word we use for horny. I don't know if it's the same in Australia. Btw in Scotland Jesse means effeminate. You don't see these words on the usual comparison videos.

I wouldn't send a text message with poor grammar and / or punctuation, because I would expect to be judged as a moron. In the old days before qwerty keyboards, you could give a bit of T9 keyboard leeway, however there is no reason since circa 2007.
The reason you cringe now, over stuff in the past, is because you've grown and gained perspective. Being perfect is the end of growth, of learning, of discovering. Richard Feynman once had a nice way of putting it: "If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room"
I run out of breath reading a text with no punctuation. Longer then 3 lines of that and I'll literally not read it. At least use a period so i can take a mental breath.

Social media isn’t that new. I was in pIRCh and mIRCh chat rooms talking to people from my town and all over the world by 1994. Still friends with a guy in Texas I met. Then ICQ, MSM etc came out before MySpace. It’s just that you used to go on there to meet new people but now you go on there using people you know in real life as the starting point. Facebook is like a family tree of your friends and their friends rather than a mechanism to meet totally new people.
