There is no way that you just uploaded this. I'm trying to host a JS and a Java project on a Ubuntu 22.04 Server too, using a different provider tho, but this was very helpful and right on time.
Hi Jay, this is an amazing tutorial, thank you for uploading this! The level of detail is really helpful. I appreciate how you explain each step thoroughly and show the actual demonstration on screen. It makes the entire process very easy to follow along. Saved this video in my playlist.
Amazing. Simple. Pragmatic. And so clear! I've enjoyed every single step of the process, and overall I'm learing a ton here in your channel. Thank you Jay!
Wow Jay, you make this look so easy and explain things very well. I so very much appreciate how you explain why you are doing something. It makes so much sense to me because of that. Thank you.
Hey Jay. I really like your stuff. I am a brand new linux user. I bought myself a server and installed proxmox onto it and have a ubuntu VM running wordpress from this tutorial. I have a FQDN pointing my wan ip. I have a windows dns pointing to it on my private network, but I cannot access the site using a FQDN externally or locally. I can access it via ip locally. I can ping the server using the FQDN and it send back the correct ip internally. I set port 80 and 443 in my router.
He instructs about every step of the way! It was possible to configure according to this intructional video--might be easier though, for newbee, if keeping hosting in the same base. External to the scope of this vid, there's bloggers' provision of instructions elsewhere. Perhaps that's why certain few bit of detail is left out from the content this video: eg. the instructions like how to give the aka Akamai provided IP to its "Advanced subdomain setting" or what it is named under their system of an external DSP (moreover, if there'd not exist so many marketing schemes of the types and subdomains, then those schemes and various offers could bring challenges as well as the sales bring an obscure element into a layman's ability to successfully get a Wordpress Blog set) .
You always do amazing work. I was wondering if you can do a video on adding of securing your sites on a Reverse Proxy Server (I have 4 separate server).
Hello Jay, there is correction/typo in the blogpost of this video. Changing ownership of directory wordpress. Correction: sudo chown -R www-data:www-data wordpress
So how did you manage to access this server IP with just setting its hostname to a subdomain of your main domain in the server side? ( I'm a beginner here so an explanation or tutorial will be helpful 😅)
Hello, I guess it would be effective to build a static website on S3 bucket. On this case there will be no reason for the server to be running. Would love to see such a tutorial
Hvat need change her if like use port 8080 and have a domain and a local ubuntu 22.04 server in bament. I need use port 8080 because I have other server in hause at port 80.
