What a trip down memory lane. I played this game with my mom and dad, it was the first game I ever played, it was so difficult, we took ages to finish it. I remember all these levels, and somehow they just feel like home.
Your run is entertaining and worthy of praise ! I absolutely hated the haunted lake and the field stages as a kid. As a 5 year old kid, I was afraid of the creepy music ( you are on a happy sunlit field for Christ's sake and the music sounds as if something nasty was chasing you or about to catch you), precise jumps and nasty enemies gave me a headache !
@@sgnjamcitydevteam6913 I played the PC version. @Davo yeah they are black but in the cartoon they were called violet and that got stuck in my head. It was a really scary episode that was the Smurf equivalent of a zombie apocalypse
From what I've heard, this is the best version of this game. Is that true? I heard this from a person who doesn't think highly of the SNES version, but I don't know for sure if it's widely considered the worst, or why. These two seem pretty similar...

I havent played this version, but I guess that the sound quality is best here. I do prefer the MD version over the Snes as you can jump a bit higher. Thats good as the game is very hard.

This was way too hard. I could never get past the black forest and the Violet smurfs terrified me

Infogrames DOS ports are extremely fun to play which is a surprise that these games were originally designed for consoles

I played this, the Game Boy, the Genesis and the Snes version (all of them are present on my channel). I grew up with the Dos and Game Boy version :)

But I just don’t know how to run the game from the dos box.
