Chaining the cords did not multiply power, it basically strangled the power to the pump. The run was so long that the resistance from the long wire caused excessive voltage drop. It's a wonder the wires didn't melt together and cause a short. The longer the run the greater the need to go to a heavier gauge wire to prevent voltage drop. Your cords were probably only 14 to 12 gauge when you probably needed 6 ga. Your little 2000w generator may be too light as well. Watts=Volt x Amps What is the current draw of the pump? It should be on the rating plate or in the user manual. The voltage output of your generator is probably 110 volts. If the pump draws 20A, then 20 x 110=2200 Watts.

Are you all part of an HOA? We took a lake in Kansas that was subpar in terms of size. Had TONS of fish the size you are catching. We partnered with a company to help improve the lake through better management. They installed feeders, got the shad population up, and the size over the next few years dramatically increased.

Today's market, that's probably about right. By the time you buy the wire , conduit and General supplies , you will probably be in it for 2k. Then you have the equipment rental/use at 500 or more per day.
Good rule of thumb is your labor will equal the material cost. I would say minimum 5k-9k depending on who does it. There is a reason 2 guys both didn't even write the job.

Hay bud I don’t know your actual numbers but I moved to Michigan and herd about power outages and bought a generator that will run my hole house including the house, garage, and well we had outages including over 5 days and my power was out for 8 seconds so I just total it wasn’t cheap but well worth it as I see it 1 day it paid for it self and 5 days I’m golden

Instead of throwing the small ones on the bank, keep some for a lil fish fry. Those smaller bass are tasty.

Big fish are nice but not necessary for a good video when it comes to yoyr work and I like to know a little more about the day to day stuff you do as well

Rent a ditcher lay pvc in it then run the line yourself and then all you would need is someone to hook it up on both ends
