That was a great idea with the borders bro, n great job!. ..I'mma use that technique on my Glocks n Sigs frames... Woulda been nicer if u used a different tip
I appreciate the tips but I don't think the waffle tip makes for a very clean stippling effect. In the long run it probably does the same job after to you touch it up with some high grit sandpaper but I think I prefer putting down a more manual pattern.
the waffle tip is ugly, pretty much all the home stipple jobs are, but I prefer function over beauty, and the uglier it is, tends to mean the better grip.
You can use blue plastic buffing compound from harbor freight $6,use a bench buffer if you can,got my undercut and grip to a mirror finish it looks like its wet,you want to use the bench buffer because the dremel wheel is too small,it creates a streaked look on big areas, its good for single undercut but not for anything bigger, as for boarders you want to use a diamond dremel bit either a ball or the straight bit ssvi has a great video on why to use them, and there are 100 ways to skin a cat but this guy is going about it all wrong, and a dremel flex extension is a absolute must, and also a adjustable heat iron, will give you the cleanest and best looking results vs a iron that is 100% on all the time, different plastics have different melting points
Looks like shark skin. Turned out really nice 👌
wow....... perfect work
I've been searching on a DIY on the deep border for a long time! They are in my opinion the cleanest looking. Thanks 4 making this. Great job.

What were the tdremel part numbers and sizes you used. The ball cutting bits ? Thanks
Ditch the candle method a stone/diamond bit does a better job and it can get in tighter places, harbor freight has them or dremel
Btw how did you learn the candle trick?
Good job dude and thanks

What did you use to first start your boarders, before you used the dremel and tips in this vid?
Looked like a dremel ball tip.
Good job !
What kind/model is your dremmel tool ?
Can you make a video of an AR 15 stippling? Thanks.
Do you use any kind of compound to buff out the borders or undercut?

Where can be get a stripping kit?... With the burner and all the tips?
Randy Vertrees Oregon Trail defense has some or you can Get a woodburning kit from like Lowes or hobby lobby
Would this method work on a wood stock?
I have not tried on a wood stock. I would think carving might be better on a wood if texture is what you are trying to achieve .
Ew. You did it all great. Just not a fan of the waffle. Worth the extra time to make it look better. Circles everywhere. Cheers!
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Stippling looks good, however, the design looks like dog poo!
