My Top 10 PGCE Interview Tips! (Secondary)

NOTE: pedagogy is pronounced pedagoJEE and I am so sorry for mispronouncing it in this video. Please don't say pedagogy the way I said it to interviewers - although they probably won't mind too much if you do!
Hi, welcome to my first video! I'm Raine and I'm currently applying for a Secondary PGCE in History. I only had a weekend to prepare for my first two interviews and I got offered a place on both courses at interview, so I thought I would make a video outlining a couple of tips that I think should be really helpful! Most of these tips should apply to any kind of PGCE that you might be applying for.

Read the interview guidance nicely and research your program, preparing a lesson ie 5 min lesson, safeguarding- you can support them but not keep this as a secret as sharing with a safeguarding team, behavioural management skills and techniques, , they are not finding the perfect teacher but the person having the potential and want passionate teachers , , make eye contact and ve friendly as a teacher needs to be interactive, , resources and techniques while teaching, have a lesson plan for your 5 min presentation,, accept your weakness and idea to improve it, , even uf any subject area is weak admit it and pledge yo imorove it , if not experienced can take refrences about the challenges faced by trachees , challenges faced in business awith economics , subject knowledge - they dont expect you to know everything but if one topic given then havw a detailed research about that , prepare one strength topic which you can explain, when they ask a question di ask one related to their website,.
