another issue with weapons drawn that ive noticed is that im an artist so when i draw something that looks remotely decent everyone knows its me lmaooo
Good review! I pretty much agree with anything said here! Only thing I'd say is that I feel like the absurd Poll Mine questions are apart of the charm. It'd be way easier to guess your friends choices if the questions were *too* sensible imo, so making them absurd or weird is to force you to really think what people mightve chosen. This is especially noticeable with the zombie apocalypse one, if "Target" or "Home Depot" were options, then it'd be obvious what the clear answer would be. However, making the answers weird and hard to justify like "Bed Bath & Beyond" and "Hot Topic" forces you to really think why someone would justify one location over another
Thanks! Regarding Poll Mine: You'd be surprised how much opinions differ when playing the game _(at least for games in online groups)._ For the question shown at 13:55 the #1 answer ended up being _"pretty cringe"_ which I didn't vote for at all; I can't even count how many final rounds I've done where the opposite team keeps choosing the same option over and over unaware that nearly everyone on the opposing team voted for it. If you play with a group of people that all share the same set of opinions, I can see how someone would want more obscure answers; But from my own past experiences, it just creates situations where everyone is in the dark continually guessing wrong doors.
@@silokhawk Yea that's fair! I guess it just really depends on how well you know your groups opinions. I didn't really consider that having more standardized and logical questions helps a lot more in online settings, that makes a lot of sense

I've been fortunate enough to play Weapons Drawn with a group of people who actually tried to follow the prompts and behaved. It was really fun, but I can see how it would be trickier to do with less organized groups.
I feel like all the critiques from weapons drawn dissipate if you aren’t playing with people who bend the rules OR who don’t know the rules. For my friend group, we LOVE this game. we set boundaries and know all the little rules. Also since none of us are good at drawing, styles are not something that comes into play.
His problem is that it needs to be forced instead of the norm. Yes, if you set boundaries to your friends and if they know all the little rules and if they don't have a signature artstyle (whice even if people are bad at drawing they still have quirks to their darwing) then it could be fun but it's not the norm. In quiplash or job job you have incentive to stick to what you were told cause them you won't get points, in weapons it's quite litterly the opposite
Wheel could be sick if it had normal points then the wheel gave bouns points from the wheel and doing better increases the chances that you get points and just have like 3 rounds also keep the tokens so at the end like the whole bord is filled and you can put all you tokens on one slice or spread out though out the game
17:18 I got that question. Totally ruined the game in the eyes of friends, but I still want to play again because I know it’s good. All I can think is you try to stereotype people from that place? Arrogant vs. humble? Rude vs. polite? Still a dumb question that really soured my friends towards Poll Mine.
Playing Poll Mine on your server has made it one of my favorite games in the series Also I swear I remember being in the game where we got the Zombie Apocalypse prompt
Job job and weapons drawn are both my favorites from this pack, I’m not a big PTB fan and weapons scratches the social deduction for me in that spot. While I definitely see every flaw you mentioned, I still find the game loads of fun with my friend group. Especially with the mindset for accomplices being framing someone else for the accomplice (or just cracking a joke if I’m too tired to frame someone). Everything you said about job job I agree with, I love the broken English jokes you can make and oftentimes it’s easy to slide an inside joke in and it still be funny due to people remixing it. Loved the video, cant wait to see your review on 10 when it releases.
Here is a thought for weapons drawn. What if they had you write 3 weapons instead of two and your second weapon is made with a letter you share with another player. Then you switch weapons and have to choose the weapon you will use, or something where someone else draws your weapon for you. I actually really like Weapons Drawn, but looking at it again I see the flaws you mentioned. Good Video!
I am so glad that there is someone else that loves poll mine, it is something that I will pull pack 8 out for if someone asks but it doesn't seem like people enjoy it that much. I hope that more people will give this more of a chance

It makes it so I have to outright draw terribly and put 0 effort, which just makes what is SUPPOSED to be a drawing game just extremely annoying
I don't consider The Poll Mine to be my favorite Jackbox game, but is probably the one I'm the most *good* at, and I like being good so I'm always open for some rounds of it.
Weapons drawn is the best in my opinion. It might just be since me and my brothers picked it up quick and all have similar art styles, but it’s my favorite of the 8 games.
one time in weapons drawn my friends and I all used the same user with different numbers. It was MUCH harder to spot the murderer, but it was a nice twist if you know your friends drawing styles to try and deduct who is who.
