- Over the rainbow aus dem Musical "The Wizard of Oz" von Harold Arlen (1905-1986), gespielt von Alexander Jörk an der Kreutzbach-Jehmlich-Orgel (57 Register, 3 Manuale) in der Kirche St. Johannis in Gera/Thüringen, April 2014
This song was played for my grandfather on his deathbed. I think its beauty had a calming effect for both us and him. He knew his life was coming to a close, yet he faced it with courage, and I believe this song among others helped calm both him and us. His last words on Earth were Lucille "(my grandmother an his wife) I love you." and his final words "Amen" after receiving the Eucharist for the last time. He was a beautiful man and his final hours reflected the beauty of his soul. I have to thank Alexander for the beautiful rendition of this song because I will now forever associate this song with him.

Je me suis permis de mettre l'enregistrement de "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" joué par vos soins car c'est une version géniale qui pourrait très bien se jouer lors d'un office religieux (j'aimerais en connaître les "registres"). Quoique catholique de tradition, j'ai toujours joué des oeuvres contemporaines dans mon paroisse catholique entre 1970 et 1986 d'où j'ai été "chassé".
