well i mean it was purposefully designed like a maze xD. but no worries i can say for certain that on a third or fourth run you know the place so well it actually becomes easy to navigate
Same Neir seems like a decent one to play. As for other recommendations i'd say YS 8 if you haven't already played it....or Tales of Berseria if only to see your reactions to plot points and dialogue lol (not sure if you have or haven't, only have seen some of your Code Vein stuff so far so not sure what other stuff you've played).

the easiest way to fight the berserker boss is use Atlas plus zwenheider fortified or any 2 handed sword in that regard, literally all you need to do is use iron will and hold guard up for his attack, and you will whittle him down in between his two attack sequence, the only thing you need to roll over is the aoe thing that he casts. It's actually harder to get to him than it is to actually beat him. And yes, IO BEST GIRL.

Fun thing is that those knights do about the same damage on the normal difficulty (playing a second time with normal difficulty) and in game+. Like in game+ if they hit you wrecks you, yes, but in normal game difficulty (game+ but without raising the difficulty I mean) they also take a Good chunk of their life

stagger is affected by mostly blood code and blood veil, if you have high "balance" stat you are more unlikely to get staggered. If you're using heavy weapon you should use some tanky blood veil cause you are already slow, heavy weapon is also better at guarding than light weapon. Also the halberd you receive from Io has 25% damage reduction buff when you use its charged attack, just swap to it, use charge attack, swap back. Edit: 1 more thing, the elemental buff does not add to your damage, it actually change your damage type, so if enemies are reistance to it you might do 50-75% less damage (vice versa if they're weak to it)
I remember how annoyed I got with this area, the enemies weren't the issue though. It was how confusing the whole place was in terms of navigation. During my second play through, I was able to navigate it like the back of my hand. Also, Io is surprisingly good as a companion, I was surprised when I first used her. I mainly run Yakumo though, especially for bosses. Don't think I don't like her though, she's the most adorable character I've seen thus far in gaming.

I forgot to say that in your menu the four square boxes on your left if you have nothing on them your status will only have your status from the blood code but if you add a strength increase it will show on your status. To show a example. Normal with nothing on - strength A Add a Strength increase on - strength A+ This also happens to all the stats if you add the right ones.
I hate the Cathedral not for the map design, I’m pretty good at exploring every nook, cranny and butthole, but FUCK THOSE TRIALS OF LOST BLOOD. I died to those over and over and they go in for so long. They throw so many enemies at you that never seem to stagger, those damn Lost Women just halving my health and you can’t avoid them either. I got over levelled and maxed out so many gifts just trying to get through them.
Start using the block mate...trust me...it will help you survive a lot And told ya that it will be more harder after those two easy area ;p Btw...if you hate berserker,you will hate all the successor boss more...cuz they have fuck ton of hp that you will have to fight them with more attack pattern that you miss on first run because you kill them too fast XD Keep it up!for the true ending so you can finally save Io PS:IO BEST GIRL! PROTECT HER AT ALL COST!
I'm not sure do you know but you can increase your damage quite a lot with blow of madness from the berserker blood code. Just activate it and do your strongest gift that requires a two-handed weapon.
I played the game myself and finished it, but at the end I almost cried after seeing io turn to stone. I never took other partners than her, because she is the best character you can ever have!

how come you never use any focused launch attacks there quite effective and if you aren't aware of the focus system that you and enemies have access to you should research it it will up your game quite a bit

That's why Io is the best girl. At least... to me, that's why. Also she's absolutely stunningly beautiful, which does help, but would be unnecessary. Io could be the most plain woman ever and I would still love her for just being her.

how come you never use any focused launch attacks there quite effective and if you aren't aware of the focus system that you and enemies have access to you should research it it will up your game quite a bit
