Those Lipton soup mixes are an amazing addition to meatloaf! I’ve also added them into my meatballs before. They can really be added in an any recipe where you’d want onion powder or diced onion. I love to have them on hand!
Lipton Onion Soup Mix. Meatloaf, roasts in crockpot, hashbrown casserole...
Here’s an idea for using your Lipton onion soup stash. Use it as a flavor enhancer . Put an envelope in your chili or soups. Also great to add an envelope to your pot roast, meatloaf, meatballs. I also add an envelope to fresh or canned turnip greens, green beans, peas, dried beans etc. I usually reduce the amount of fresh onion & salt I add because the soup mix contains a lot of salt & dried onion. Hope this helps you whittle down your stash!
Diane! Those are such great ideas! Thank you!
This is one of the best organizational videos I’ve seen!! Thanks for all the inspiration including the links and walking us through!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
I love your pantry videos! Your videos are what inspired my pantry! I turned a small office off of our kitchen into a pantry and use the cabinets from Lowes and I love them! There was already a small closet in the office that my husband built shelves for and it houses my small appliances. Your ideas and tips are the most practical ones I have come across. As far as that onion soup mix, I sometimes cut some potatoes into chunks, drizzle on some olive oil and toss them in a packet of the mix to roast.
Oh Melanie! That sounds like a great recipe! I'm happy that you find some good tips in the videos!
It is such a good feeling when you know you can make dinner without running to the store. I live in the country so stocking up is essential. I store all the same things but this has reminded me of things I’m running low on. ❤
It really is! I feel much more prepared with some extra easy meals in the pantry!
I’ve always kept a stocked pantry, but ever since the pandemic I think it’s super important to stay stocked ahead (not crazy) but I just feel better knowing we can be at home for a while & would be fine.
The pandemic really got me back to keeping a stocked pantry.
It made me realize how dependent I was on those bi-weekly grocery store runs!
My favorite onion soup mix recipe is a tuna macaroni salad. I cook 2 cups of macaroni Al dente and chill for a couple of hours in the fridge. Then stir to break up clumped noodles and add one large can of drained albacore tuna and 1 packet of onion soup mix. Stir well. For the dressing add about 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 2 or 3 tbs Miracle Whip and about 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish. Give it all a good stir and chil for a couple hours more to soften the onions in the soup package. When I serve, I add ground pepper on top. It’s filling, cheap and really yummy! It a good recipe for lunches. If you want to add a little crunch, you can dice up some celery or some bell peppers. Thanks for sharing your pantry ideas, Mickey. I will print out your list. I need a good way to keep inventory in my pantry!
Laura! Thank you for the recipe! Its sounds YUMMY!
I had to use up some leftover onion soup mix dip mix, so I tossed in in my beef stroganoff and it came out great. Found you today and enjoyed watching. Thanks for the tips.
Hi Judy! I’m so glad you found me! Thanks for watching! 🎃
Thank you for doing this video! I've been working on a pantry update for sometime referencing your other videos. You are my favorite youtuber so so helpful! God bless you!
It makes me so happy that you find the videos helpful! Thank you so much for watching and for your sweet words!
I think you have a pretty, well organized small pantry . I’m not trying to be rude. Every families pantries are going to be different to fit their needs and how they cook and prepare meals. Also mine is the way it because of the way I was raised and my location. We have ice storms that have left us without electricity and water for over 31 days and roads impassable for over a week and it’s a 100 mile round trip to go to Walmart, Kroger, It’s just not the type of pantry or pantries that I have had for over 45 years. It’s more of a convenient pantry for someone who doesn’t bake and cook everything from scratch or pressure can homegrown vegetables, chickens, meats and meals , juices, jams, fruits, condiments in jars. Mine doesn’t contain box or packages mixes, gravy, soup, etc, I do have water glassed eggs, homemade shelf stable powdered cream soup and gravy mix, and other types of homemade bulk muffin, cake mixes in half gallon jars, over 300 lbs all purpose flour, wheat berries, old fashioned rolled oats. I make my own pasta except for macaroni no attachments for that. It works for you and your families needs and that’s all that matters.
Hi Joyce I am pretty lucky, I can literally walk to my grocery store so we have fresh produce and staples daily if need be. I do bake and cook from scratch on a regular basis so my panty contains what I need but also has the convenience items that help make meals easy on busy nights. I agree, your pantry has to work for your family.
Thank you, Mickey, for all your wonderful ideas and inspiration. From a previous video I gleaned the perfect solution to storing my kitchen spices. Now, they are not jumbled, but neatly organized and readily accessible. It makes cooking a joy. So many thanks!
I just cleaned out my spice cabinet! It really makes cooking so much easier when everything is organized !
I love your videos! My husband and I are retired so we only grocery shop once a month. I made a list of everything we use (it took a while) and every month I print it off, then go through my pantry and fridge to see what we need. I also make a monthly menu, that way I'm using what I have and I'm rotating my stock, so no waste.
Such a smart idea Laura!
Lupton onion soup mix is great in meatloaf, a coating for baked chicken, of course dip. A great add in.
Hi Sandra! I am making a list of everyone's suggestions!
Great video! Thank you for sharing your beautiful pantry.
Use your onions soup mix as a dry rub for meat’s or mix with water, oil, salad dressing or honey for a wet marinate.
Family secret 🤫 My Mother use to mix it with orange juice liquid or concentrate to put on chicken before baking. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes before baking.
Wow! Those are great ideas!
Fantastic video. I store a lot of products that you do but yours looks more organized for sure. I tend to use a lot of gallon size Ziploc bags for my bags and boxes of pasta and use a lot. I like your bin idea better and need to try. I always love watching all your videos but love to watch anything to do with baking and meals you do. You always have the best tips. You are an excellent homemaker and you seem to really enjoy doing so. Thank you.
Thank you so much Patricia! I love being at home and in my kitchen!
Hi Mickey! What a great video. Thanks so much for the free printable pantry list. I printed it out and I am going to try and organize my pantry better.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Mickey! Loved this video ❤️ Here is a recipe I’ve used for years and everyone loves it. A great way to use up your onion soup mix.
Chicken Hurry
21/2 - 3 lbs chicken parts
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Combine ingredients in a bowl. Place chicken in a casserole dish. Pour ingredients over chicken making sure to make sure every piece has some sauce. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour. Uncover for about 15 min. It’s a recipe that is so easy and is suitable for for company.
Enjoy! Val 🇨🇦
That sounds like an excellent recipe! Thanks!
Great video ! I love the way you organize your pantry. Easy recipe for beef brisket ( i am sure you could use a chuck roast) using a packet of onion and a jar of chili sauce. I add water to the bottle and swish it around. I perfer cook this meal in the crock pot, nice and slow. Serve over rice or pasta 😊 Have a wonderful day !
That sounds YUMMY!
I always enjoy your videos and thanks for the free printable I just printed it out and also downloaded it so I could print out more copies. Thanks again!
Awesome! Thank you! I have used this one for a few years and even if I don't keep up with the inventory numbers, it gets me to go through my supplies!
Hi Mickey, thank you for the ideas. Have a Blessed Weekend.
You too Teresa!
This was an absolutely fantastic video! Thanks for sharing such great tips with us! 💕 Please keep sharing more of this type of content with us 👏👍🏻
Thank you! Will do!
Hi Mickey, loved watching your organised storage cupboards ❤ I love my larder/pantry and when my hubby fits the graduating shelves I’ll send you a photo 😊
Please do June!
Oh, I truly loved this. Thanks for the motivation. I do keep a lot of similar things on hand. But there was some things you shared that I definitely have been reminded I needed .
I'm so glad you got a few tips you can use!
A little late to the party. I love closed door food pantries. I like using the onion soup mix for a recipe called Stick Of Butter Rice. One of our favorite side dishes. Yes the recipe calls for a whole stick of butter. I typically only use half of a stick. Enjoy!
Sounds great! I like storage behind closed doors too!
Great video. Do you happen to have a recipe for crockpot potatoe soup? Thinking of fall.
Hi Barb! I have a great recipe! Super easy, you use frozen hashbrown! ua-cam.com/video/_UdewUjaOgM/v-deo.html
Lipton onion soup with olive oil, coat cut up potatoes with it an bake in the oven, it's delicious.
Sounds great!
Wow!! My husband and I could never work through all that. 😂
I'm lucky, I have a bunch of kids who come home to eat frequently! There is always something made in the freezer for them to take home!
@@MyBashfulLife That's great! My only child lives an airplane ride(two time zones) away. ☹️
Love this video. I keep a lot of what u showed, your is very organized which it motivates me to re do my thanks for sharing
I'm so glad! Thanks so much for watching!
Nice! I use the Rotel with Chiles to make salsa just add garlic, onion, cilantro s&p.
That's brilliant! I definitely trying that!
I need those cabinets ❤
I have several sets of them on our lower level, they are awesome!
The onion soup mix goes great in barbecue hamburgers.
Great idea!
I use Lipton onion soup mix in my smothered pork chops I do in the Crockpot. I add a can of cream of mushroom soup or two (according to how many I’m cooking for), and a packet of onion soup mix. Never had any complaints.
Sounds so yummy!
I use Lipton onion soup mix in my meatloaf and on roasts 🙂
Thanks Jan! I am making a list of everyone's suggestions!

So this lower level pantry is your primary pantry for bulk items that you stock up on? What items are stored in your kitchen pantry? I’d love to see your kitchen pantry. I need to reorganize my hot mess of a pantry badly. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jerry! I am planning on sharing what I have in my working kitchen in an upcoming video!
Love the video we all need the help❤
Hi Connie! So happy you loved the video!
I use Lipton onion soup mix in my meatloaf and on roasts!!
Yum! Great idea!
Onion soup mix: Use in meatloaf, loose meat sandwich meat, use in soups as base. And use as cooking for s.all oven Roasted potatoes. Of course use I roasting meats as well.
Someone else mentioned roasted potatoes too, I am definitely trying that! YUM
Mix an onion soup mix in a regular sized sour cream. Mix in a mixing bowl then put back in sour cream container. It tastes best sitting overnight or several hours I the fridge. For French onion chip dip
Great tip!
Great video as always!!
I would love to hear your suggestions for a smaller space .
I have a small kitchen, this extra space has really helped! One of these cabinets can go anywhere for a small pantry!
