Remembering Sr Joseph RIP

Our beloved Sr Joseph died this morning at 5.15am.
She is Survived by her sister, Margaret. Deeply regretted by her Poor Clare Community, nephews, nieces, extended family and wide circle of friends.
Reposing in the Monastery Chapel, Nuns Island tomorrow, Saturday, 8th October, from 3 o’clock followed by prayer service at 5 o’clock. Requiem Mass on Sunday 9th at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery. No evening prayers or Benediction on Sunday.
May she rest in peace.

I think it's sad this woman gave up her family, gave up being a mother, a grandmother...wore a goofy medieval costume her whole adult life, prayed and sang to a male spirit somewhere up in the clouds. .its really a goofy life...

People like you are sad. Your ilk waxes lyrical about freedom of choice. That lady became a nun by choice. You would have something else to say if she was prevented from doing so.

@@gerardleahy6946 I'm not sad at all...and I'm all for freedom of choice...I sincerely believe " religious life" is a waste of one's life...I personally know numerous nuns and the majority are child like and live in a bubble..
