    Okay, this is decidedly unfair...I am soooo craving chocolate now. Loved the photograph that you could create. And if I had a chocolate bunny...it would first notice its missing ears!

    Love your videos! I'm planning a trip to Switzerland later this year. I was wondering -- for the fondue per person price, are you not allowed to split a dish?

    • @GrowingUpWithoutBorders
      @GrowingUpWithoutBorders  6 років тому +1

      Hello! The way it works is you get the fondue pot and they put in the amount of cheese based on how many people are eating. There's no harm in asking if you can have 1 portion if you just want to try it.
      Generally in Switzerland the prices of food in restaurants is expensive if you're not earning a Swiss salary especially in tourist spots.
      Enjoy your visit! It's absolutely breathtaking!

      Growing Up Without Borders Ahh that makes sense. Thank you! I've been watching all of your videos to prepare haha! What time of year would you say has the best weather? I'm planning on going the last week of August to the first week in September, and I'm hoping for the most sunshine!

    You definitely have to take a weekend off in 2018 to visit the medival market in Bremgarten! Plenty of time ahead but mark it in your calendar. It is on the 27th and 28th of october 2018. For most time of the year Bremgarten (near Baden in Aargau) is a tiny.. tiny and quiet medival city (more like a village tbh) But on these two days you can learn about authentic historical crafts as they were done in medival times. They sell a variety of handmade goods and the kids can storm a little castle or watch a smith at work. You can see how paper was made, possibly make your own. You can press apple juice or carve soapstone. People are going to dress in traditional medival clothes and play music. It is going to be pretty crowded but you'll enjoy it - I am sure. «Schloss Lenzburg» sometimes host similiar events and you can spectate the castle - although they do in a smaller scale in the castles patio.

      You're very welcome - I am not sure about the fluency in english/french though. I guess you'd need either to test it on your own or bring a german speaking friend as a translator - or use hands and feet. I am sure you'll manage.

    You are such a super mom. I would like to be the son you do not have. I am an orphan, and I am up for adoption. I would like you to adopt me. That way i could travel all over switzerland and the world and eat ice cream, raclette and chocolate. So what do you say? Think it is a good idea? BTW , next month, I will be 75. That means i won't be a burden for you for very long since I should die in a few years. My wife is also an orphan, would you like to adopt her too?
