Piano warmups generally fall into 2 categories:
1️⃣ Warmups that are a waste of time
2️⃣ Warmups that get you results and set the stage for further progress during your piano practice.
Let’s talk about the 2nd one.
If your goal is to play musically and with expression, why not use your warmup time to directly address that skillset?
A lot of people don’t realize that they can actually PRACTICE being expressive and musical.
It’s not something that’s left up to chance or something that you just turn on in the moment.
The warmups that I discuss in today’s tutorial will help you develop your skills of playing musically and expressively - in just a couple minutes a day, before you even truly begin practicing.
Watch the quick tutorial and learn these 2 easy warmup exercises that will help you learn to play expressively and musically.

That wrist drop looks like the Russian School of playing. Very interesting and I'll try it out.
    Merci.

The beginning of the mozart c maj sonata is very scale like, perfect for a warm up I think. There is a video of Jackie DuPre playiing it for her husband Daniel Barenboim in her documentary titled remembering Jacquelene DuPre.

Thank you so much. My playing misses expression.

Such creative techniques. I look forward to using them. One thing I've found helpful is to close my eyes for some repetitions. It helps me focus more on exactly what's happening.
