This method on 8:56 blow my mind ,, I've been trying to clean up my feed with some ground + positive wires to the FC (according to other UA-camrs) added separate LC filters but not as clean as this method 😆... Thanks for sharing sir. Stay healthy and keep sharing sir... Wish you all the best sir🎉
Testing on the highest output would have broken the inter-web-ternet, brought all of Earth's satellites (including the Moon) crashing to the ground, and turned every Tesla into a blazing puddle of white-hot slag, so perhaps it's just as well. 🤭
@ I would love to do a range test Andrew. I have only ever got to 8km with 5.8 ghz and I wanted to see how much difference the power increase would make I think it will make a big difference as I am a believer in higher power. I use 1.5 watts in my 1.3 ghz setup and the difference between that and 800 mw is noticeable. Using ferrite cores should help with interference and I will be using a 16db Gatling antenna on the receiver. I ONLY fly under 400 feet so the range will be compromised. Will send you an email shortly.
Hello, I often watch your videos but here I do not see why you make a video with 1 watt output to reach a distance of 500 meters with an 8 Watt VTX !!!!!, I thought you would have done at least a few kilometers to realize the quality of the connection. For me this video brings absolutely nothing, too bad.
That's because it is illegal in Australia and must be line of sight. Who would incriminate themselves on video for a review? Nothing stopping you getting one and making a long range video.

Yes it's ok as long as you don't want an osd
Excellent video but I'd like to see a range test. Thanks
Thanks but I can't afford the fine
right on, i love these VTX from AKK. too bad you didnt test the highest output. Enjoy!

Can't afford the fines unfortunately
Cheers Andrew 👍💪✌
I remember when 800 mW was the biggest VTX you can buy a long time ago haha
Probably a Broadband video jammer! Think it would be fun at the flying field with other FPV users trying to use the same band 😆
Input voltage is interesting, might get away with 4S Lipo until it starts getting low & 4S Li-Ion would be a waste of time - 5S+ fine
Only (8000mw / 25 mw) 320 times the Oz legal limit.😀 Would also be very handy at the field to bbq your lunch. Even has a built in bbq grill.
Branding iron maybe?
YES ❕️ But why? 🤔
Analog isn't dead yet 😉
hallo Andrew, on my mini talon i have just mounted a T-Motor AT2820 880 Kv with a 12x6 prop. do you think is a good setup on 4s? thanks.
Yes looks good for an efficient cruiser.
which one is better/ to get in your opinion, this or the AKK Alpha 8?
If you want to run it through a flight control board then Alpha 8 for its 12V input voltage
The law of diminishing returns makes an 8 watt vtx irrelevant. But they'll sell a gob of them
Andrew I have an advanced Amateur Radio license so if you need a range test let me know.
Hey Neil, if you can use any of these AKK VTx I'll send some your way. email me a postal address

I’d be happy with just 2 watts haha 😅
And we used to think 2 watts was to much a few years back.
3:40 , they ship them to neighbouring EU countries and bring them in by truck anyways.
Be careful not to fry your Brain while hand launching Andrew...😉
25mw is not pitmode.
I wondered about that.
Now this is getting silly. Far better to spend money on a clearview receiver.

Do a search for Wesley Varty and see the consequences.
@@AndrewNewton Yes I understand. Please forgive me.
Also need a spotter, so we are bending the rules a bit there too.
