Take a walk with me 4K around Stureplan
Stureplan is a public square in central Stockholm, between Norrmalm and Östermalm.The square connects the major streets Kungsgatan, Birger Jarlsgatan and Sturegatan. The buildings around the square house offices of banks and other financial institutions, as well as several corporate headquarters.
Some of the country's most famous and expensive restaurants and bars are located in the area around Stureplan.Some examples are Sturehof, Spy Bar, Riche, Laroy, Hell's Kitchen, East and Sturecompagniet. Shops in the area include Versace, Hugo Boss, Gucci, and LV.

Scandinavia is a paradise for introverts.
Trust me, you're missing nothing. It all looks like they're having the greatest, most wonderful time in the world, but its all a charade. Just concentrate on yourself and ignore the so called nightlife and beautiful people. By 2AM they're all drunk, having to fight for a taxi home, in the rain. Then, they wake up the next morning with a massive headache and hangover unable to remember the night before.
It's a beautiful city, with great architecture, and a thriving night life. Lots of people out, music, lights... seems like a genuinely fun place to hang out with friends or meet new ones.
Except for when we're getting shot at.
@ymx7947 fair point, but I'm from America, so I would cut off my limbs and donate both kidneys to have gun violence numbers as low as Sweeden. But it is all relative, and for your region it is pretty bad and has gotten significantly worse over 20 years it seems. I'm very sorry to learn this.

@lj.boulard8371 Yes. I know this. We are trying to make changes to things here. We're dealing with centuries of ingrained fears that have been preyed upon by a certain segment of politicians in order to garner votes as well as a couple powerful lobby groups. Please don't assume we are all gun happy psychos. There is also a historic reason for the 2nd amendment to exist though that too has been twisted in the minds of the public. My point still stands, when other countries say their gun violence rates are high, that's a Tues in America and we would love our gun violence rates to be that low.
@@L.J.Thayler8371 No, you missed my point. In the US we have at least 1 mass shooting per day. At least. Often days we have 2, or 3. Mass shootings. It's to the point we don't even report on them all any more there is so much. Yes, we recognize the right and often necessity for people to own and carry weapons. But we've gone way too far the other way from where you are. For you, people are defenseless. For us, every angry or upset person can get an AR-15 easily, walk into a theater, a school, a store, a mall and slaughter indiscriminately and rapidly. Or can purchase high powered sniper rifles and fire on innocents at a music festival from 1/2 a mile away in a hotel high rise. We would LOVE to have violent attack numbers as low as the rest of the world. You take the combined mass shooting attacks for all of Europe for 2022 and the US surpassed that by the end of January.
As with all things, there is a happy medium. The "right" never lies at the extremes. The wild west free for all the US has or the complete ban so many other places have. And that's my point... the US needs way more control and other places need to loosen up.

The days when we swedes are the most happy like in this video is on Friday and Saturday evenings/nights when we hit the clubs bars and resturants. This is most certainly recorded on an late Friday when the weekend starts and there is no conserns for school or work the day after :P
Week days in the summer are ofc also alive but not as vibrant like in the video and all the shops are basicly closed at 21:00 in the evening so all there is left is fast food and clubbing :D

I am swedish and have lived many years in Stockholm AND I have travelled a lot around Europe and seen most major european cities and imo Stockholm MAY be Europe´s most beautiful city. Maybe because we have had no war for more then 200 years ? Or because it is built on islands and we have made sure to keep a lot of big parks also in downtown ?
However Stureplan and it´s surroundings have some of the highest rents in Sweden. Also the prices in the restaurants and the nightclubs are pretty high. But on the other hand..I agree that swedish women are very beautiful indeed. Maybe because we have had no wars for more then 200 years ?

I loved visiting Stockholm, very special and beautiful vibe! Yet, nightlife seemed quite boring to me compared to almost any other major city I know - quite expensive, closed off and nights ending veeery early.
I can't comment on how fun it is because I don't frequent the clubs much any more (at 53). Most places are open until 1 in the morning with some open until 3 and fewer until 5. In the Stureplan area shown in the video there are a lot that are open late, but in Södermalm and Vasastan (the southern island and north of Stureplan respectively) 1am is the norm with a few later exceptions.
Indeed. The nightlife is extremely bad, high prices, 25+ on most places, closing early, strict druglaws and no variety of music. I would recommend Amsterdam for a good nightlife.
@@Bomullskaka Right now is a good time if you want a cheap trip to Sweden because the Swedish Krona is worth very little right now, so prices are very competitive compared to the rest of Europe.
For a young visitor, the nightlife is indeed the worst part about visiting Stockholm.

Great video walk, I saw like 10 beautiful women. Scandinavian women are BEAUTIFUL and brilliant.
This shows a couple of blocks around Stureplan. The poshest side of town. To the north of here there is Vasastan which is a bit less posh and with a higher percentage of bars over night clubs. Kungsholmen which is a bit more quiet but with a fair selection of bars. Last, but not least there is Södermalm which is an island just south of the center that has the most restaurants/pubs/clubs, is less posh and draws a more diverse crowd.

The city is so clean, and the energy is just relaxed and enjoyable. Very strange vs Seattle.
