8 years late but it seems like some of them are wearing paranjas, so the photo should be taken in Central Asia, most likely Tajikistan, Uzbekistan or Afghanistan.
i think a few of them are wearing paranjas, but i could be wrong, image is not that clear. I also saw some old footage from Ottoman Palestine, some ladies were wearing paranjas there as well, still majority wears burkha.@@mohdshahrilsalleh3657
What this has to do with opium, I don't know, but thanks for posting. One of the few true subversives = Muslimgauze. Who was not Muslim himself, and was probably an atheist. He was awesome, RIP.
Based on what I've read, he wasn't Muslim himself. The other option would be Christianity but considering the era, and his empathy for many secular/socialist movements in the Muslim world of that time, I would doubt it. But who knows. Many of my Brit musical heroes of that era tend to be atheist or at least extremely secular.
@@klessner68 don't think so. afghanistan/the middle east in general supplies much of the opium that the world consumes. the war in the middle east was partially fought over it. could be a very literal description
Walking to this feels like a trance.
mad talent
Black September is likely a reference the Palestinian group responsible for the tragedy that occurred during the Munich Olympics in 1972 .

I think the mentioned Opium probably references to Karl Marx and his statement : "Religion is opium for the masses" ..? Just a guess
Be safe
