I can't understand all the hate towards April. She was a very independent woman that was ahead of her time and society. She has truely loved Frank. She loves his originality and free spirit that had gone lost in the treadmill of life. In a time where it was unnatural for women to be the breadwinner of the family, she offered it, so that Frank could become who he was supposed to be. I know. But it sure makes me happy I'm not like her. Most long term marriages go thru ups and downs. April was perpetually depressed, and living a fantasy life in her own mind. Her life was down. She was down before she ever married frank. She's a good candidate for anti depressants.
I really understand the complexities of this relationship. However, April could’ve up and left Frank at any given time and moved back to the city or something. She was “independent”. But I believe that she knew that that wasn’t going to keep her happy. Somehow, she did latched onto a man and put herself in a situation where she wasn’t happy but had Frank to blame for her own unhappiness. If she truly believed in happiness being somewhere else, she would’ve gone for it. I did believe that she couldn’t stand Frank-like I’ve been there and in that type of toxicity before. She had instances to make others choices throughout the movie and she insisted in doing this final act.
Actually she wanted to have an abortion but unfortunately, she accidentally killed herself. It's not that she want to get suicide. She was furious that Frank challenged her to get rid of the baby. Though Frank inaccidently screamed and hinted at her. Frank was being furious at that time. I felt him
My parents' marriage didn't get the chance to crumble because my mother's illness took her first. If there's anything i learned from it, it's that, if you are meant to be together, then any cracks, conflict and fights will not worth as much as the marriage itself. Of course this will only be the case if both sides agree to it.
So this is the reason Monica made that song, "Till Its Gone." The hospital scene is similar to the music video. Actually the movie because in the music vid the man was cheating and the woman did something so she couldnt be saved.
This is one of the movies I still haven't watched from Leo's work, so April actually died at the end 🤔 But I have seen clips of this movie & all the clips I felt bad about Leo's character than April for some reason.
A girl i knew had a fight like that with her father . She said things to him that shouldn't never be said . In anger .... her father died 3 days later ... it took 2 years for her to stop crying herself to sleep .
Watched the movie twice and I gotta say i side more with frank second time around. April was dissatisfied with her own life and essentially blamed it all on frank. You could argue frank trapped her but considering how conventional it is to settle in the suburbs and have children I don’t know what she she could’ve really expected. He didn’t have malice he was simply going about his role of a husband during that time period, not that I agree with roles. I just think April was far more self centered
A woman, trapped at home with children. No money or career of her own. A husband who won't let her make reproductive choices. Pregnancy is a very physcially intense and dangerous thing to do. Then being locked in for 18 years to a child is overwhelming when you already have two. Instead of just leaving like men would have the option of doing, she tried to organise the family so they could fulfil Frank's dream in Paris. She knows she won't be able to emotionally cope with another baby so she is willing to take the social and phsycial risks of terminating her pregnancy to make sure the baby doesn't grow up with any attachments issues. Yeah what a totally selfish woman.
@@MsEmm10 she didn't want to go to france because of him. It was pretty clear. She knew the risk of the action she took. It was a suic!de attempt. Frank isn't any better but she's evil too
I still remember watching a titanic 2 trailer and jack was found preserved in a giant ice block and was defrosted him , turns out he's still alive and met rose again and they used one of this movie clip 😭😭
All I would like in life is to be a mother, homemaker and wife to my children and my husband. Instead, I work between 12 and 15 hours every day like my husband, I have no time for our four children and the house. These days are terrible for the family. And this woman from the movie has all that, but she is not happy. How sad it is, that people don't see how happy they really are.
It’s devastating what happened to April in every way possible. That being said, ultimately it seemed to open Frank’s eyes as well. And yes, I get this is just a film but this is just my take.
Atleast she should have thought of her own childrens you can see he wanted to give up after she died but can't because he have kids to raise, feed etc.😢 and i fell really bad for april she went through a lot.
Both actors who played different roles in different films where 2 died its very ironic even. Imagine if they were casted in hunger games franchise 😅😂 jk.

@@Der.Geschichtenerzahler It was a different time. On a sidenote, it's pretty interesting that you call other people stupid, but believe only unprotected sex can result in pregnancy. Or consensual sex. Bisschen über den Tellerrand schauen.
@@True253you can't murder someone if he is not born. Sure you can kill it (to counter the argument that something alive does exist somewhere). But the matter of fact is that, we kill uncountably alive things everyday, every moment. The vast amount of microorganisms in just one hand wash or insects like mosquitoes killed everyday, and the people eating animals is a whole different level of a thing (i don't support it). Don't get me wrong, I know what and where you are coming from. I feel that you. It is wrong to kill a foetus, not because it has the potential to become human but because it is alive just like every other insect or animal or plant.(it's really arrogant to feel superior than an animal just for being a human, ego at its peak). It definitely is wrong, but it doesn't allow anyone to force someone not to do that if she wants/needs to do that. @@lifeissweet9826 what she was supposed to do about the fantasy life inside of her mind?
May i know what is the meaning of what he said :"she did it to herself"? She did what? Abortion or trying to kill herself?
Poor Frank
Beautiful such a beautiful film ❤
Is that sherrif hopper?
David Harbour, yes indeed it is.
Stalin sux,
This movie felt like trying to climb a mountain but slipping back down again and again and never reaching the top
I like to think that this is what their marriage would've been like if they'd both survived the Titanic.
I haven’t seen whole movie but just from the clips I’ve been watching, I feel sad for April but it seems like she wanted so bad to be miserable
He died in titanic and she died in revolutionary road
This is the 1950's. You are thinking like a modern women.
Well she had kids and she didn't have the personality to live her life guilt free after abandoning them so she chose death
Actually she wanted to have an abortion but unfortunately, she accidentally killed herself. It's not that she want to get suicide. She was furious that Frank challenged her to get rid of the baby. Though Frank inaccidently screamed and hinted at her. Frank was being furious at that time. I felt him
Man, y'all delusional If you think it was that simple for women before 1970.
@@RaciouS91 you can't even "feel" English.
They were reunited in this film with Molly Brown (Kathy Bates). Strange to see them together again with diff roles.
Monumental movie!
My parents' marriage didn't get the chance to crumble because my mother's illness took her first. If there's anything i learned from it, it's that, if you are meant to be together, then any cracks, conflict and fights will not worth as much as the marriage itself. Of course this will only be the case if both sides agree to it.
Most underrated movie ever.
So this is the reason Monica made that song, "Till Its Gone." The hospital scene is similar to the music video. Actually the movie because in the music vid the man was cheating and the woman did something so she couldnt be saved.
Damn that regret would be painful until his final breath.
They need to make a movie where both of them live-
Love the pair Kate and Leo🥰
Love the pair on Kate’s chest. (⊙)(⊙)
This is one of the movies I still haven't watched from Leo's work, so April actually died at the end 🤔
But I have seen clips of this movie & all the clips I felt bad about Leo's character than April for some reason.
A girl i knew had a fight like that with her father . She said things to him that shouldn't never be said . In anger .... her father died 3 days later ... it took 2 years for her to stop crying herself to sleep .
Why Leo didn’t get his Oscar in this movie???
i think jack's turn to not let go a promise
Alternatively:
Titanic but Rose dies and Jack lived Alternative ending
Watched the movie twice and I gotta say i side more with frank second time around. April was dissatisfied with her own life and essentially blamed it all on frank. You could argue frank trapped her but considering how conventional it is to settle in the suburbs and have children I don’t know what she she could’ve really expected. He didn’t have malice he was simply going about his role of a husband during that time period, not that I agree with roles. I just think April was far more self centered
both are toxic but april went along with the abortion n became more paranoid.
He was literally violent, controlling and selfish. April deserved better.
Frank isn't any better but she's evil too
@@onizuka4869 you've watched the whole movie and completely missed the meaning of it all. Yikes
Poor dude
Son muy buenos actores ya que te hacen que empatices con cada personaje. Love Kate y Leo❤❤❤
Atleast she should have thought of her own childrens you can see he wanted to give up after she died but can't because he have kids to raise, feed etc.😢 and i fell really bad for april she went through a lot.
HOPPER!!??!
I love David Harbour
Stranger things and titanic cross over 😻
IKR?! I love both Titanic and Stranger Things!!
Guess this is the future we're barreling towards 🤷♀🤷♀
This is one of those movie that makes me lose Faith in love
OMFG ITS A ROLE REVERSE!
Now game is tied
Both actors who played different roles in different films where 2 died its very ironic even. Imagine if they were casted in hunger games franchise 😅😂 jk.
Where can I watch this? It's not available on Netflix
This movie WILL gut you.
I feel the worst for that poor, unborn child, getting scalded and killed in the most violent, hideous manner. The selfishness of women has gotten out of control.
I still didn't understand the story yet...what r they coming to tell in this story....
Perfect movie for everyone.
OMG please tell me the title of your video did not just spoiled the entire film for me ???
it did....idk whos half assed brain's idea was that to put it in the title
If she were just able to go to clinic, she would be alive. Great statement on the era.
If she wasn't trying to murder her own baby she'd be alive to.
Abortion is one of the most illogical things I've ever seen in my life. If you don't want a baby just don't have unprotected sex. Why are people so stupid?
If you know the covid virus on your hand has much chances to kill your life, nobody has the right to stop you from using sanitizer.
Instead of the non-abortion law program, start safe sex education programs.
@@Der.Geschichtenerzahler that statement just proves you're an idiot because sometimes abortion is necessary. Sometimes women get raped, sometimes a family member forces themselves on them. Sometimes the baby might not live. And a baby should not be a punishment for having sex. If you don't want an abortions to happen, you better be offering to adopt the babies.
We never care until we realise they r gone.
why tf there's spoiler in the title itself ??
