Do the servos arms simply push down unattached on the flat bar that's connected to the rear cylinder or are the servo arms attached to rotate along with that bar. That set up reminds me of the old lindberg hoppers. As for that paint job, Jeezus! that's nice!😳

I had a wishlist of features I wanted to have for my RC lowriders and I checked RC forums, youtube videos, etc. to learn how to make it all work. Some mods are easy and others more challenging.
Hi, this model was painted by artist Armando Flores. He used House of Kolors micro flake. Tropical Glitz also makes excellent micro flakes even smaller than this one but still has a great sparkle to it.

Why is the back of the chassis hinged? Is that just for access to the battery?
Yes, to acces the battery. Not ideal but I had to rush it finishing for a show.
