@@the_malevolent_one bro i was just watching one right now and i thought the exact same thing, had to turn the audio up and down throughout the session
It's usually cause they mix movie sound for cinema (5.1, 5 speakers 1 subwoofer) when most people have shitty tv speakers. Sometimes you can choose a tv mix in audio settings if the filmmakers bothered to make one. @@mediumsurmoon6283
@mediumsurmoon6283 it depends on how the original production of the movie is made. If they edited it for movie theaters, the audio will sound good for a movie theater's speaker system, but sound like shit on a tv. The only problem is that tv shows also have this issue.
@@shaipharaoh6830FR. I used to watch horror movies with CC but a few times it was like “creaking in background or monster moving closer in background “ and I’m like wtf no there isn’t and then like 10 seconds later they pop up. It’s like giving me a heads up.
It's especially stupid because UA-cam has volume equalizing (that randomly get taken away or given back) but they don't apply it to ads & yet they wonder why everyone uses adblockers.
It's an issue I've seem with streaming platforms and recent DVD releases, idk who's in charge of it all but there's gotta be a job needing to be filled somewhere to control this shit, it's been ridiculous for years 💀
It’s because it costs more time and money to make it sound good on a home setup so they’ll just throw the same sound mix they use in movie theaters on streaming services, which sounds like absolute dogshit on a home setup like a TV or phone/tablet, this wasn’t an issue before mass adoption of streaming services because they had to make a DVD/Blu-ray of the movie and release it for you to watch it at home so they would fix the audio so it’d sound right on home setups
The worst worst is when the whole movie or video or whatever is really quiet, and so you turn it up, but you forget to turn it down when you go to watch something else and your blasted with 100 decibals of straight sound. I have nightmares about those moments.
@@dwelfking8050No Nolan just makes movies for good sound setups. This kind of balancing is dramatically better than bland low range sound if you got a decent sound setup or use headphones.

Oh my god, I hate scenes that keep getting quieter. Like the director thinks quieter means more serious. "It's about your daughter." "what" "I'm sorry, she's dead." "ⁿᵒ, ˢʰᵉ ᶜᵃⁿ'ᵗ ᵇᵉ, ʷᵉ ʲᵘˢᵗ - .- .-.. -.- . -.. / - .... .. ... / -- --- .-. -. .. -. --."
I swear bro, EVERY SINGLE TIME! This clip is relatable on another level. Its the reason why I keep the remote next to me at all times. Whenever they're about to transition into another scene and the music starts queuing up, I quickly hit mute til I see the characters walking or talking.
I found a way to partly resolve this issue - some TV's have a "night mode" which changes the audio balance so the high and low sounds are more equal, meaning the loudest sounds are quieter and the quiest sounds are louder.
To my understanding this is due to movies putting the audio primarily in the center speaker which works great if you gave a home theater audio set up but since most people don't well... comes out really quiet
They usually do this for movie theaters because everything is already extremely loud. Now as to why Netflix does it in some of their movies, or even some TV shows, I got no clue
That is so dead on. The way he starts to speak a little louder is exactly how those quiet dialog play like & then the music gets loud only for you to forget the volume was on full blast😂

I couldn't even follow half the story in Oppenheimer because I couldn't hear them. Thought it was a problem with the theater til I looked online

I fully expected that in the video, but I think the loud soundtrack is more common.
