New at UH: UH in Top 100 for Patents, Nursing Simulation Program Honored, STEM Teacher Program

The National Academy of Inventors ranked The University of Houston among the top 100 universities across the nation for its number of utility patents issued in 2023. Also, the Society of Simulation in Healthcarer recognized the Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing for training future nurses with cutting-edge technology such as virtual reality and advanced simulators. Finally, a $3M gift from the National Science Foundation will help the UH College of Education develop more teachers specializing in science, technology, engineering and math to address a chronic shortage of STEM instructors in public schools.
