    This video shows the steps necessary to install the TST Industries Undertail on a 2008-2009 Honda CBR 1000RR. Our new undertail will make your Fireblade look like a sexy race machine. If you want to eliminate your fender our parts will allow you to do so efficiently and without busting the bank. Our undertail features an injection molded undertail shell with an anodized CNC aluminum closeout. The black anodized finish of the closeout matches the undertail, frame and swingarm, as well as all the other black accents on your bike. The closeout has a subtle TST Industries logo. This kit installs exactly like the OEM undertail you currently have using your stock hardware, but does away with that ugly fender.

    Thank you for this video. Even though I wasn't installing a TST Undertail I did find it helpful for changing the rear tray from the 08 to the 10.

      The undertail we sell is sourced from Honda directly and capped off with our closeout. This is meant for 08-09 models because they had a different undertail with the fender integrated into it. For the closeout installation on a 2010-2016 model the video is here: ua-cam.com/video/hesQmQC-xU8/v-deo.html

    Question ! with out thenew undertail there is no way to eliminate the fender ! correct?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  5 місяців тому

      On the 2010-2011 bike you can remove fender from undertail and cap it off with our closeout. On the 08-09 bike you would have to cut off the fender from undertail, and that does not look good

    the undertail is awesome.Μuch better than my hotbodies undertail,the fitment of TST is OEM.The DIY unfortunately is not very good.There is a simple and less dangerous way to remove the parts from the bike without cracking them.It was very risky DIY.

      I don't understand which step it is you think is dangerous. We have done many of these installs, as well as other installs requiring the removal of the same components as in this video. We always use the same technique and we haven't cracked anything yet.

      Hello.i did not want to offend you,honestly...You could remove the 4 allen bolts of the mudflap and the philips screw under the fuse box at the first step,in order to have less tension at the tabs of the plastic part under the subframe.Also you could remove the bracket who locks the passenger seat to give you some space to remove the screws under the battery box.
      When you removing the indicator cables of the mudflap,you could loose the third bolt and have the mudflap in 2 pieces.It will be much easier but it is not important.
      My last observation is that the guy making the instalation forgot to put back in place the one of the 4 spacers of the undertail bolts.

      marinos zaras no offense taken. There are many schemes of disassembly for these components. One is not necessarily more correct than the others. We just illustrated the one that has worked repeatedly for us. Thank you for sharing your method l. We appreciate when community members get involved methods that have worked for them.

      @@TSTindustries Im not sure but an inappropriate tail light was installed, not the OEM, and dude broke off the clips and trimmed the tail cowl, lol, cut plastic and made his own elimator, used like sheet metal to make a license plate bracket. I wish i would have took pics and showed you guys what i had to deal with. The good news is I decided to correct everything hands on, and ordered your elimator kit as well as one off ebay that would support an OEM tail light. Ill use the OEM eliminator and tail light for now until i replace the subframe. Then ill install the carbon fiber fender elminator.
      I did all the maintenance on it this weekend, oil, filter, plus, coolant etc. Thankfully the motor only has 12.500K and is still very very strong and sounds amazing with the aftermarket exhaust.
